I love this man. Young, middled age...NOW. Sad seeing him get older as there will never be another Mel Gibson. Met him 12 years ago in a bar in New York and somehow nobody recognised him but me. Got 1.5 hours of his time and what struck me was the level of intelligence he had. And yet there was almost a nervous agitation about him. I liked him! Still a star struck fan haha but he was clever and friendly but below the surface I could feel deep anxiety...and its quite intense-it literally oozes out of him when you are infront of him.
I've been a massive Gibson fan since childhood. Post 9/11 I totally went off Hollywood due to blatant propaganda, always rejecting offers to go to the cinema. Then in 2007 my brother came over, we were in my mums kitchen who had just made banana milkshake, he goes we need to watch Apocalypto, I said no, he said Mel Gibson made it I was like hmmm, lets take the milkshake with some ice in travel mugs hidden in a bag then.
