I want to mention that the original was from Simon&Garfunkel or really Paul Simon who wrote it and performed by Paul and Art. Disturbed did the cover. I don't want Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel to be forgotten. Either way it was fantastic.
I think the style of this song is more in keeping with the Disturbed version, so that’s probably why it is titled the way it is. I too hope Simon and Garfunkel will never be forgotten, but this song is so iconic that I think even most young people know who created this masterpiece.
Disturbed is the really great version, though. S&G version was weak sauce.
@@calebdoner But we can't forget that it took Paul and Art to write and make the record otherwise Disturbed wouldn't have that cover - which I agree is great.

I'm a big Beatrice Florea fan, and generally, I'm totally in awe of these young musicians from Romania. However, although the singing here is unsurpassable, this cover doesn't work for for me. I suspect that what is lacking ( for me) is a deep, intimate connection with the original version by Simon and Garfunkel. Even if you're covering a cover, you have to go to the roots!

what can I say more one and a half year after you put that song on YT and all other comments said so obviously true and lovely things about you‘re fantastic voice and emotionally interpretation of this great classic? Maybe this: A great song is nothing without a great singer, but a great singer makes even a bad song to a great one. If - like here - a great song meets a great singer a real masterpiece is the result.
You know, I love your voice over the Top - and in this song you show me all your incredibly skills in perfection: a warm and soft timbre, perfect pronouncation (you sing a much better English than any other - and you are Romanian!) and emotion. You are living the song and this it is what shows if one is a great singer. You are definitely a very great singer (in fact I see no one who could reach your class)!
At least: you recorded this at the age of 17. Since that time you have increased week for week. I think it‘s nearly impossible to sing this song even better as you have already done, but if one can do, then only you! Of course you deserve an extra donation.🌹❤️

ce pot să mai spun unu și jumătate după ce ai pus acest cântec pe YT și toate celelalte comentarii au spus lucruri atât de evident adevărate și frumoase despre vocea ta fantastică și interpretarea emoționantă a acestui mare clasic? Poate asta: Un cântec mare nu este nimic fără un cântăreț mare, dar un cântăreț mare face chiar și un cântec rău să fie unul mare. Dacă - ca aici - un cântec grozav întâlnește un cântăreț grozav, rezultă o adevărată capodoperă.
Știi, îmi place vocea ta de peste Top - și în acest cântec îmi arăți toate calitățile tale incredibil de perfecte: un timbru cald și moale, o pronunție perfectă (cânți o engleză mult mai bună decât oricare alta - și ești româncă!) și emoție. Trăiești cântecul și asta este ceea ce arată dacă cineva este un mare cântăreț. Cu siguranță ești un foarte mare cântăreț (de fapt nu văd pe nimeni care să ajungă la clasa ta)!
Cel puțin: ai înregistrat acest cântec la vârsta de 17 ani. De atunci ai crescut săptămână de săptămână. Cred că este aproape imposibil să cânți acest cântec chiar mai bine decât ai făcut-o deja, dar dacă cineva poate face asta, atunci numai tu! Bineînțeles că meriți o donație în plus.🌹❤️
