The grading system seems to vary school to school in Japan, but in this case most high schools consider 50-60 a D, 60-70 a C, etc. with 90-100 being a S. It's dependent on the school though. I didn't go to school in Japan and I don't live there, so I can't say for certain this is exactly how it works in every school.

*...so I can't say for certain...
You've incidentally inverted the meaning of your sentence by excluding "can't".
Sorry if you already knew, I'm not trying to be an obnoxious grammar-nazi, just unsure if you noticed the mistake.

@@Lunam_D._Roger Thanks! Editing failure on my part, rewrote part of the sentence and forgot to include that. Appreciate you pointing it out!

I can't believe you wouldn't go to Japan, fake your ID to become high school age again, go through all grades, graduate, and use your experience for an authentic, first hand report on the Japanese grading system.
The absolute state of TL channels these days...
Anyways, thanks for the translation, much appreciated. Please keep up the good work!

Well she joked that she's a Tokyo U graduate, but no one knows for sure if it really was a joke.

The senior high course in Japan for those planning to go to university is around Calc 1 level. It's the kind of math where except for some connections to physics derivatives and graphics programming I had almost no way to relate it to practical experience so a lot of it was painstakingly learning set formulas, so to say, "in the dark." It did make me appreciate how much of a lie interest rates are though. It didn't help that it was a split high school course for credits in Trig and Calc 1 (so cramming them both into a semester each).
At the minimum level a senior high student would still be learning basic trig/higher algebra.

I would remember seeing a clip of OkaKoro standing with the fire at the back, so I don't really think was translated before. Thanks a lot, it's always welcomed to learn more about the best Holo live duo.

As someone who also sucked at math in high school, I totally get it.
