Dear sir, I am completely with your point. But, these days public's are attracted to more freebies - it's because of their financial condition... And purposely government made the public to long for this. These are like vappaatis, the longevity is very less. I can say that people are using Jio as vappaati, the day they declare they will charge more and freebies will be cut, then people will still survive by their 1st/mother connection. But, the point is... Other service providers (apart from Jio) also should come up with competitive business models to compete them. Bsnl towers is always praised by public for it's range and connectivity, even in hill station. So it's time for Bsnl to develop a new plan and strategy to stand and serve the people.
Don't give up.... Every family is at least having one connection of Bsnl and try to expand it.... Thanks

padmanaban c dear bro you are partially ignorant. You are correct to the extend that quota brings inefficient people inside. It does not mean all of them are inefficient. Majority of them are so. Trade unions negative activities (positive is also there). Politicians attitude of encouraging private cos. Bsnl is competing with private cos in a decathlon with hands and legs tied. It has given job security and employment to around 4 laks people who are dedicated (cream of citizens). Now see private operators: the employees are under stress. No quota. No trade union. No job security. Profit of the owner only matters. In bsnl service only matters. It is people like you and the pseudo secular govt who are responsible for wrongly advertising about it. Do you remember who gave service to citizens in chennai during flood. Please dont be blind to injustice.

Moreover it's volte tech which can't be use like normal.. yes sir we agreed that aircel have moved out from telco business!! That due to finance crisis!! And they very strong in our state circle only but they failed other 22 circles... Sir, For simple SIM replacement customer has to wait for 2hrs in bsnl.. if u want customer to use bsnl services means!! Pls change your company too customer friendly & treat them fairly!! Actually M Mathivanan is a great speaker and a terrific union leader one thing he didn’t admit is that the BSNL people are the most lethargic people and too highly paid uncommitted and providing the “lousiest “Broadband Service .

On my opinion, BSNL staffs are kind and generous in treating their customers. They address all my queries every time I reach them. They offer good public service and support. I am still using BSNL, Airtel and Jio mobile services. I am still not happy with Airtel's services, for their hefty charges although they provide good signal and area coverage; and that's probably the only reason why I am sticking to it. Jio is completely new to me and I don't like the idea of annual membership fee of ₹100/- which I think is completely absurd. Seems like l cannot own my Jio number and I need to spend ₹100 to hold on to it. Seems like it was planned to avoid any customer switching their services through MNP.
But as far as BSNL is concerned, I am happy and contented for their services offered. They offer real service to the public and are not profit minded unlike others. They have their own drawbacks. Few are: signal quality and agility in highly crowded areas; transfer speed and data rate; customer support and back up team must be organised; Time period or transition period in incorporating new technologies and quick adaptability to meet customer demands and rival challenges.
I think that they need to work on infrastructure development to begin with.
I would like to further add that they must be focused and given importance with autonomy status similar to that of Navarathna and Maharathna companies and more funds must be allocated. They should form joint venture with ISRO, BEL and DRDO and come out with economical but innovative ideas and solutions thereby introducing competitive products with other leaders like Cisco and Toshiba under Make In India policy. If lndia could achieve good development and niche by carving out a good reputation in missiles and space programs, then this is also possible. India must focus on developing radiation safe technologies like LIDAR, the need for the future.
As discussed above, we should keep our politics and indirect corporate influences aside and rejuvenate BSNL and help it sustain and thrive. And lastly, the customer support is very essential. Above statements are purely my opinion and I welcome your feedback through comments.
Last word, I am happy to be a BSNL customer. They serve with smile to do their best, inspite of their pity situation.

Government decides the rates. Government wants to promote Gujarat based JIO only. Jio is not giving its hard earned money. The politics of India is based master corruption. If JIO can give BSNL can give much more than JIO. But Government wants only JIO to progress. This is a game to enslave common people to private monopoly. How many people of India understands what is in store? D D was destroyed in the same way. Politician can not take money by allotting new channels in D D but to private parties. You and I always praise whoever gives benefit to to us but we don't which way the other person earned it. It is your money guys. This is called smart corruption. We are happy to ignore this, isn't it.
Give an uninterrupted network without toggle between 3G & 2G we use your network This is main problem we switch over to Jio..... I personally congrats you because your network has greatest upload speed than the Jio
