Wow, I'm surprised it's only got one amp chip there. I would never guess listening to mine. But that does help explain how they got it cheaper than a lot of the other boombox competitors.
Honestly, no bi amp / active crossover in 2024?! I understand they tried to keep the cost as low as possible but who knows how much better it would have sounded.. Also I appreciate all the work you put into doing the teardowns!
Is it doable for you to bi amp the Earfun speaker or add a natural inductor to the woofer? Sorry I'm completely ignorant about this stuff.🥴 If that would make the treble a lot cleaner... would it be worth a go? Once again, I love your videos!!! It's so refreshing to find a reviewer with authentic cred.
@@whoisknight2297 I haven't. Maybe it sounds good but it doesn't look promising to me. It is very expensive (~$300) and requires international shipping.
I know its expensive but you got to check out the brane x speaker
Thanks for the teardown! You are the first one as usual! 😊

If the woofer has a decent roll off frequency, you don't need an inductor for it. Old Genesis speakers used to do this.
Thank you very much for the video! Would it be a big request to have a video of the disassembly steps?
Maybe once I get enough subscribers I'll do sth like teardown streams similar to eevblog.

It sounds just as good if not better than a bunch of bi amped speakers that I have. They pulled it off remarkably well.
@ I know, Oluv’s months work plays a significant role for sure
I have Uboom X, Very Good speaker. 😊

Yes. Adding an inductor to the woofer is doable.
Hi, have you heard about the SODLK s1271 speaker?
Ngl it looks like a kabuki speaker to me. So many tweeters and absolutely unnecessary 3 way design.
@speakerblowupmanlee5921 So have you listened to this speaker? Or do you judge a book by its cover?

Earfun sounds much nicer overall, based on the speaker in my phone haha
Is it better than soundcore boom 2 plus, because I'm skeptical about these two, earfun uboom x or soundcore boom 2 plus?
Boom 2 Plus - slightly louder and boomier/more mid and upper bass
UBoom X- Higher quality sound and deeper bass
Uboom x. Just sounds better, especially the bass.
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 THANKS and which of them have deeper bass on a low volume?
I toought the woofer were exact the same as the jbl boombox 2 woofers. Are the earfun woofers smaller in diameter, or what?
They're the same size but has a different basket and a smaller magnet.
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Thanks
I got him 2 plus for $90 brand new
