After collecting quality bibles over the years, I'm finding that Cambridge is becoming my favorite brand. My two top choices would be the Cameo and Concord, although the Turquoise is also beautiful. They are just different sizes.

Great review! This is a classic edition reissued from Cambridge- also known as the Cambridge Presentation Reference Bible. It’s a favorite of mine and I use it often in our ministry when preaching and teaching. Thanks for the Bible review. I always enjoy your reviews. Lord bless. 📖
After watching this review I ordered a Turquoise and have to say it is my favorite Bible all ready. Love the classic look and feel of this one. Thanks for taking the time to review the Turquoise. God bless you.
In my opinion, the KJV Turquoise Reference Edition is the most beautiful Bible available today (I've got the same, but it came to my in a matte -not glossy- finished clamshell box). I like Cambridge Bibles (my favourite Bible publisher), I like KJV (also ESV, and CSB, and the Spanish RV 1909, and RVR 1960), I like Bibles with classic designs, in black covers with red ribbons, I like full sized Bibles but not too wide, I love its rised ribs in the spine... Today, the KJV Turquoise is my favourite Bible.
I know this is a really old post but do you reckon that the turquoise in calfsplit is worth it for a man on a budget? Im not sure whether to get that or the tbs Westminster reference in calfskin. Cambridge is about 100 dollars more though
@@tomdooley307 the cambridge turquoise calf split is my main bible and I am using it for more than a year now. Still feels premium considering that the calf split is a thick leather that ages well and the paper is the same with the goatskin which is indopaque from france so yeah I think the calf split is worth it. The goatskins price is too much. I've held the westminster calfskin as well and I can say the paper is so nice and maybe a bit thicker than the turquoise. Both are good so it comes down to preference i think, do you need the bold clear font of the turquoise or the clear yet smaller and thinner font of the westminster.
Just ordered the same one on Amazon and can’t wait to get it! It’ll be my 4th Cambridge Bible. I have a ESV goat skin, wide margin split calve leather , and a French Moroccan leather blble but this will be my first red letter edition. I can’t wait to get it! I love my Bibles and have quite a few of em. My last one I got was an Allen full yapp Bible that I got from England. Great video. Thanks. This has to be the nicest Cambridge Bible ever released. Like you said, they are certainly using Schuyler/Crossway as models for at least this edition so far. The ribbons, the raised hubs, the leather liner, the super nice paper, are what makes it surpass older editions. It's got a great foot print too; perfect medium size, with a super readable font. I kind of want to go back to using KJV for a while as an excuse to buy this amazing Bible, lol.

It’s my understanding that the King James Version does in fact have a copyright that is held by the crown of England. However the USA does not recognize any copyrights held by the sovereign of England since the revolutionary war. Other countries still do, especially England. At least that’s what I read somewhere.
Theres a review showing both side by side. They are the same.. Longprimer is based in UK and has slightly better quality. Cambridge is based in US and is better as a reading bible (more white spacing and darker font). When all else fails, buy both!

Excellent review! I purchased this same edition from the Amazon link you provided in this review, however, I'm somewhat concerned. My copy does not seem to be completely Red Letter. For example, the gospels are RL, and Acts chapter 1 when Christ is quoted concerning the coming of the Holy Spirit is RL but all other sections in Acts where Christ is quoted are not. In addition, the book of Revelation is completely black letter. Not even Christ's words addressed to the 7 churches spoken appear red, they are black. You didn't present these particular books in your review so I'm unsure if this is part of the vintage layout and to be expected of this reprint (though a red letter means Christ's words should appear consistently red) or whether I was shipped a defective copy?
Alex Ocasio - Your bible is NOT defective. Many Cambridge bibles only print the Lord's words in red when He was still on the earth. That is why His words in Revelation are not in red.

To reproduce these exactly Cambridge has digitally scanned original copies of their Bibles and generated what is effective a facsimile edition. The effect of this facsimile is only noticeable in the Concord. The scanned Turquoise I understand was perfect. The concord however was scanned from a later c ok ncord print. By then the original printing plates were getting a little worn and you find in a small handfull of old testament pages that the printed concord has slightly lighter text than the typical bolder type of the rest of the Bible (still as bold as most modern bibles) this is not the case for the turquoise. As far as sizsle goes the turquoise is slightly larger - I can't remember the exact size but it is of the order of 2cm or half an inch The aspect ratio of height to width is different with the concord being slightly wider for it’s height compared to most Cambridge bibles including the turquoise.
Can you confirm something from the Cambridge Turquoise Bible. As from the CBP Turquoise bible there is some words that should be two words but put together as one. Here are examples of no spaces. ( Jer 4:22 "havenone" understanding) ( Dan 1:21 unto "thefirst" year of king Cyrus") I don't know it's an issue with CBP or just the Turquoise text in general

@@IO23777 saviour, and that is the correct biblical spelling in my opinion. My statement was about actual spelling errors. I love Cambridge bibles, I have many and they don't have spelling issues like this one.
They won’t. Cambridge and Allan have flagship KJV Bibles. As does Schuyler now in the Canterbury. But this Bible is a classic. I think it’s my the “one”.
Matthew Everhard very funny trying to bring up the Greek and Hebrew argument. Not surprised every new version advocate uses. You Think you can correct God with the greek and hebrew. I think that you forget that there are MANY GEEEK TEXTS NOT JUST ONE. So obviously the KJV is not accurate to the NESTLE ALAND greek TEXT but to the textus receptus THE kjv is accurate to the Greek text they used in 1611 not to the one in 1881 by Westcott and hort. So there your argument is faulty. Also listen to the philosophy that you believe in. You believe that God has inspired his word in many different versions while I believe that God has perfectly preserved his word IN ONE BOOK AND VERSION. You see in your eyes "it is all about what i prefer" and no longer, Thus saith the Lord and what God says. you can bring up all the so called "erorrs" in the KJV all you want but I believe that God has Supernaturally preserved his word IN the KJV.
Tyiari Scott I can read the Textus Receptus directly. No joking there, and not trying to be funny. Some people spend years learning the Biblical languages. Not sure why that is perceived as kidding. Also love me some Masoretic text Hebrew! I enjoy translations like the KJV too. I commend their Translators to the Reader to you. Blessings friend!
Nice chnically its not the Cambridge seal. It's the seal of the kings and queens of the United Kingdom. You correctly identify it as an official seal showing approval of the crown for publication - technically it is still illegal to print or sell a KJV Bible in the UK from a publisher that does not have this seal (currently only issued if I remember properly to Oxford and Cambridge University presses and also TBS ( The trinity Bible society actually publishes Cambridge bibles under licence). This is not enforced however You are incorrect about the KJV copyright. Which is something most bible bloggers/youtubers get wrong The KJV is under CROWN COPYRIGHT under the UK crown. This is a perpetual copyright in the UK and the commonwealth. Crown copyright is not recognised internationally so other countries are free to publish unhindered. However, if zondervan published a USA version and imported it then their Uk operation is technically breaking the law. As I said this is not really enforced unlike other crown copyright publications as the UK government recognises the benefits of publishing the Bible and making it available. It hasn't really been enforced for over a century. Originally the crown copyright was placed upon it to stop others from copying the Bible and Changing it and republishing a “faulty” bible
I've noticed on your site that you have given away Bibles this particular Bible a brother would be so blessed if he could receive? Please let me know if you choose to give this one away. God bless

There is a simple spelling error in Luke 11 53 "proyoked" its provoked in the concord ... Very sad.
Hi Andrew - Can I ask, in this Bible is it 'Saviour or Savior? Cheers!
@@IO23777 saviour, and that is the correct biblical spelling in my opinion. My statement was about actual spelling errors. I love Cambridge bibles, I have many and they don't have spelling issues like this one.
Stunning! Now, all they need to do is make it in NASB, ESV...and NKJV.
Adam Vine eww, they know that it's corrupt that's why they don't prioritize making new versions with great quality like the turquoise
😀
1611 bias 🤦🏼♂️
They won’t. Cambridge and Allan have flagship KJV Bibles. As does Schuyler now in the Canterbury. But this Bible is a classic. I think it’s my the “one”.
The King James Bible is THE PERFECT word of God and is the only version people should be using
Tyiari Scott *cough* (reads Greek and Hebrew) *cough*. KJV is a great translation for those whom translation is necessary.
@@MatthewEverhard I read the translators to the readers and it shuts kjvo down
Don't like the words Holy Bible on the front cover. Plain cover is preferable for me.
This is not enforced however
You are incorrect about the KJV copyright. Which is something most bible bloggers/youtubers get wrong
The KJV is under CROWN COPYRIGHT under the UK crown.
I wish it was black letter.
Absolutely nothing like the Ole King James for God's perfect preserved words in English!!!!
is it 1611? or 1762?
The Turquoise should have been well Turquoise
It's a beauty but beyond my financial reach
Timothy Turenne check out Amazon they have good deals.
Keep dreaming my friend
I've noticed on your site that you have given away Bibles this particular Bible a brother would be so blessed if he could receive?
Please let me know if you choose to give this one away.
God bless
unreal that its 200$ makes me really sad
You know the out side of the Bible. Everyone shows the same as you show, how about showing the word
Only one way it could be better is if this Bible had a Apocrypha
Shame there makeing people pay for Gods word ,he knows
