As far as I'm concerned they were unfit parents. Majority of people who have kids in America are unfit. Why the f*** would you let a kid babysit kids. She would have never been placed in that situation if her unfit mother didn't have three other kids to deal with. Simply just having kids because it's something to do

Robert Browne comes from a family of law enforcement officers. He's also from my hometown. He killed a young lady here and they can verify his story through our sheriff's department. She used to date and live with him. I knew her and her family. I used to see him town when I go out on weekends and he always gave me the creeps. But it's so sad that he turned out like he did. Because he was the only rotten apple in his whole family. If I'm not mistaken he had been killing women and young girls for about 30 years when they caught him. I'm so glad that they had gotten him off the streets because he wouldn't have ever stopped killing.

      @tywhitmire860 2 роки тому +14

@@craigime Because he lived within sight of their house and he entered through the daughter's window. He knew the mother had left. It's unusual for a "burglar" to take a victim out of the residence. Yeah, give him credit for knowing exactly what he was going to do. I doubt if he's a burglar who turned pedophile upon entering the house. He took her from her bed. A burglar normally tries to steal without disturbing sleeping people. So many reasons that it wasn't a "burglary gone bad" at least according the details the show reported.

Actually, there have been countless, scientific, peer-reviewed research studies done looking at whether the death penalty is a deterrent to violent crime. They used data in states w/ strong death penalty laws where there are criminals executed regularly. The studies have consistently shown that the death penalty is not a significant deterrent for violent crimes.
That doesn’t surprise me at all as there is very little logic in violent crimes & the minds of killers who make this horrific choices.
For something to be a true deterrent to a behavior, there has to be more logic involved.

Don't put words in their mouths they never said call us in 24 hours not only did they get there as soon as possible but the 24 hour thing is a misconception this is rarely the case. Law enforcement agencies often stress that the case should be reported as early as possible. In fact, it is extremely crucial to report a missing person as soon as possible and there's nothing wrong with hoping that it's just a runaway case.

Perhaps if police officers would respond to missing children as if it were their own child missing, crime scenes wouldn't be contaminated by relatives who obviously care more for the welfare of the child than the officers employed to protect and serve.
Even if 98% of missing child cases are runaways or misunderstandings, are donut breaks and revenue-generating traffic tickets really so important to justify neglecting to investigate the 2% in a timely manner where minutes could make the difference between life and death?
This is a clear cut example of why police should not be left to police themselves and determine which cases are deserving of their attention.
It's not their resources or money paying them, it's the taxpayer's. Every missing child case should be given top priority, regardless of cost or manpower hours.
If police adopted that mindset, perhaps most of that 2% would be found and thousands of children would not be abducted or murdered each year.
Anyone who says that it simply isn't feasable doesn't understand the huge costs of doing investigations of cases that have gone cold because of police procrastination and crime scene contamination.
Also, what in the hell is a reporter doing handling evidence? Showing the skull on television? How insensitive and irresponsible are the television stations in Colorado Springs?

I kind of don't believe he just came to rob them. Robbers tend to work their way up to SA and taking people's lives. He could have been watching that girl for some time. If they'd have found her body sooner, it'd have told the full story. I think so in part because he'd done it before, specifically to a young woman/girl. He likely didn't need to in that case.

People say it’s maddening and senseless for police to interrogate and suspect relatives of missing victims but it makes sense to start with them. There were multiple cases on Forensic Files where parents had killed or attempted to kill their own flesh and blood.

Not sure why they would say this because it's simply untrue. Colorado Springs certainly isn't St Louis, but they definitely have their fair share of crime like any other city. Especially drugs, theft, and B&E...

I hope that a centralized system from minor to major crimes, was finally created. It makes no sense to have so many agencies to look for fingerprints for a specific person, one system is enough as long as it periodically updated; that is the only thing they need to catch criminals, and has to be implemented. I only hope they have done so by now.

Sometimes life isn’t that simple. My mom was a single mom and there were times my brother and I didn’t want to go shopping with her once we got that age because she took *forever* But my grandparents did live right across the street and we had their phone number memorized so it was quite safe.
One time we actually locked ourselves in the bathroom and called our gun-owing grandpa in whispered panic because a strange car was pulling into our driveway. He ran over with his rifle to find out it was our uncle who was supposed to be coming over. He had just gotten a new truck, lol. Terrifying at the time, but it was good to know that we could react correctly in that situation.

If he killed that poor little girl in her home, why didn't they find ANY evidence of that? He beat her over the head so hard it killed her, but left no blood? Blood splatter or pools? No way. Idk if anyone else has ever seen a head injury, but they bleed ALOT. They also make a point to say he was a serial killer, but his reason for being at the house was burglary? If you ask me it sounds like they had absolutely no idea what transpired that night. All they knew was they were his prints on the screen and theu just kind of freeballed the rest. I mean, if they guy is guilty, he's guilty. But why the need to come up with a whole host of details that there is no evidence for? Why couldn't they just admit that all they knew was that he killed her and there were alot of details that remained unknow?

In case if anyone is wondering, it’s normal and correct that the federal AFIS at the FBI doesn’t have every criminal record. What’s illegal in one state may not be illegal in another or not illegal to the FBI. Also, if they had every record, the FBI’s system would cost over 100x more, both to purchase, upgrade and maintain.
