I hope that a centralized system from minor to major crimes, was finally created. It makes no sense to have so many agencies to look for fingerprints for a specific person, one system is enough as long as it periodically updated; that is the only thing they need to catch criminals, and has to be implemented. I only hope they have done so by now.
Leaving a 13 year old girl alone on a 5 acre property is a very horrible decision. The mother should have made her and the other one go and never left them by themself.

Samuel Little is believed to have killed over 100+ prostitutes (he confessed to 93 before his death in 2020) since the 1960’s and was apprehended in 2005.
so - 48 murders, and the state can see no reason to execute him, and leave the taxpayer for his upkeep for the rest of his life. As sad as the case is, no parent should ever leave a 13 year old at home without an adult - day or night.
Sometimes life isn’t that simple. My mom was a single mom and there were times my brother and I didn’t want to go shopping with her once we got that age because she took *forever* But my grandparents did live right across the street and we had their phone number memorized so it was quite safe. One time we actually locked ourselves in the bathroom and called our gun-owing grandpa in whispered panic because a strange car was pulling into our driveway. He ran over with his rifle to find out it was our uncle who was supposed to be coming over. He had just gotten a new truck, lol. Terrifying at the time, but it was good to know that we could react correctly in that situation.
If he killed that poor little girl in her home, why didn't they find ANY evidence of that? He beat her over the head so hard it killed her, but left no blood? Blood splatter or pools? No way. Idk if anyone else has ever seen a head injury, but they bleed ALOT. They also make a point to say he was a serial killer, but his reason for being at the house was burglary? If you ask me it sounds like they had absolutely no idea what transpired that night. All they knew was they were his prints on the screen and theu just kind of freeballed the rest. I mean, if they guy is guilty, he's guilty. But why the need to come up with a whole host of details that there is no evidence for? Why couldn't they just admit that all they knew was that he killed her and there were alot of details that remained unknow?
Um, most of them very much so DO know right from wrong, they just DON'T CARE! Saying they don't know any better is nothing, but a PATHETIC defense or excuse for their actions!🙄🤦♀️
I like how the officer is like “we need a centralized location for fingerprints.” Anyone who works for the government and how slowly everything moves, knows that’s never gonna happen.
In case if anyone is wondering, it’s normal and correct that the federal AFIS at the FBI doesn’t have every criminal record. What’s illegal in one state may not be illegal in another or not illegal to the FBI. Also, if they had every record, the FBI’s system would cost over 100x more, both to purchase, upgrade and maintain.
@planetruthplanet you'd think the cops would at least be aware that there was no central database. this could have been solved 2 years earlier if they were informed about their own profession.
Its amazing how the men and women in law enforcement work tirelessly to solve these mysteries. Thank you for all you do.

I hope that a centralized system from minor to major crimes, was finally created. It makes no sense to have so many agencies to look for fingerprints for a specific person, one system is enough as long as it periodically updated; that is the only thing they need to catch criminals, and has to be implemented. I only hope they have done so by now.
That poor, poor family 😢 I hope they found peace
Mom and Dad should not have separated… this would not have happened…
When a divorce costs a life
I love this show
Leaving a 13 year old girl alone on a 5 acre property is a very horrible decision. The mother should have made her and the other one go and never left them by themself.
Beyond sad and unfair he got to live a long life yet she didn't even made it to 15.
Don't leave your kids alone period RIP
Moron.🙄🤦♀️
some are 17 or 18 when they gone missing. Just because the place is safe do not mean we can put our guard down, I know since I come from a safe neighbourhood people here do not lock the doors. But since I watched too much forensic files, I know we should never take things for granted. So I emphasied always lock the doors to my children
“What’s you’re favorite violin song to play? The devils dream. Yea that’s a good one, I like that one”… I’m scared to even look that up. This story is haunting to say the least. RIP Heather ❤
One good detective is alk it takes. By goid I mean alert and caring!
It never ceases to disturb me that the cops just instantly assume runaway. That's why they think it's 98%. Imagine how many would turn out to be murders if they actually investigated 😢
Imagine someone holding your daughter’s skull on television, that would’ve made me sick.
Good thing CODIS has been created!!!
CODIS is for searching DNA match. CODIS (COmbined DNA Index System)
AFIS is for searching fingerprints. AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System)
@@walden6272 true 💯
Fast forward to today and Colorado Springs is a crime ridden cesspool.
This story has holes in it. If he killed her at the house, how come there was no evidence found at the house? Not even a spot of blood at the house?
...until an alert examiner found a serious flaw in the system...WTF ! Shouldn't they ALL be alert ??
How the fuck did he manage to murder 48 people without ever getting caught?
Samuel Little is believed to have killed over 100+ prostitutes (he confessed to 93 before his death in 2020) since the 1960’s and was apprehended in 2005.
Gary Ridgway did the same thing.
so - 48 murders, and the state can see no reason to execute him, and leave the taxpayer for his upkeep for the rest of his life.
Brain swelling is a way to die with little to no blood. Many people can walk around and then die.
Why am I crying....
I dont even know these people.
Because you have a heart
If he killed her in the house. How did the fbi not see blood in the house?
Heather would be 45 years old today, December 9, 2023.
😥. Child crimes are the most heinous. Innocent children shouldn't have to suffer at the hands of those who obviously doesn't know right from wrong
Um, most of them very much so DO know right from wrong, they just DON'T CARE! Saying they don't know any better is nothing, but a PATHETIC defense or excuse for their actions!🙄🤦♀️
Amazing finger print guy.👍 Let's hope ALL fingerprints are uploaded now 😡
Nope.
Smh. Bum can't get a job so he's out robbing people and killed this young girl. How sad.
Heather’s father looks kinda like Maynard James Keenan. Am I the only one?
Edit: MJK mixed with Trent Reznor

Looks kinda like Nicolas cage
I like how the officer is like “we need a centralized location for fingerprints.”
Anyone who works for the government and how slowly everything moves, knows that’s never gonna happen.
You know this case is old right? He was arrested in 1995. Not only do we have a centralized fingerprint database now, but also one for DNA too.
@@thl205 great!
Good job
I was beside myself and could think of nothing else for years when one of cats used to go missing. I can’t imagine if my child went missing.
Smart detective
There are monsters living amongst us smfh
Thats awesome how mach suals you saive god bless you god job
So so sad.
He probably staked the house for days until opportunity came.
Why this criminal scared of death of penalty, but they are happy to kill?
They should just have 1 central data base with all criminals to test for forensic & fingerprint testing!
@planetruthplanet you'd think the cops would
at least be aware that there was no central database. this could have been solved 2 years
earlier if they were informed about their own
profession.
Why would you do that to a kid 😕
