In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.

yeah just feel the items - would still have to guess the colours though, unless you asked Alex to describe them, but he'd probably refuse.

My mind went to Larry David and now I'm eternally sad at how unlikely it is that we'll ever see Larry David and David Mitchell work together. It's a weird feeling to develop and then shatter a dream in one second flat 😂
Fun fact: Mae Martin is the first contestant to have matching initials since Romesh Ranganathan all the way back in the very first series.
If counting New Year’s Treats, Lady Leshurr also has this distinction.
You're not entirely correct since they said their given name is actually May Pearl, but close enough!

I'm Canadian and I personally disagree. She was incredibly dull most of the season. The other contestants were a much better fit comedically for the show.
Mae seems to be emotionally bonded to Alex, and really I'm surprised this doesn't happen to contestants more often (who usually get annoyed with him).
It’s a mark of a good interview that you will learn something about the interviewer without them making the whole thing about themselves. Today we learned that Alex doesn’t do fancy colour names - maroon and fuchsia are wholly abstract concepts to him!

Yep, just got done writing out the same sequence. Love how Alex plays with time like that, e.g. the raisins gag on the snowman-task episode. (*Pynchon👍)

It would have been really impressive if Alex had guessed David Bowie for Kiell
@@daxtonfleming Indeed. I figured he guessed Liza because it was his actual guess for Jenny, which would've been amazing if she'd chosen her. She said she nearly went with Cilla Black, another singer - so close.
This awkwardness mix is...unique.
I guarantee we're going to see all of the photos Mae mentioned in a future season.

but why, the only change is for us, the viewer, the contestants are just used to the crew being there and we see them only cause it's the 360° thing

I think most of them saw that there's a person there, I just can't believe no one has acknowledged it yet. Unless, like someone said, they're used to crew members being in (possible) odd places, so they just shrug it off.
He is probably there to flip the camera around since there isn't anywhere else with the 360 view

Also it makes me happy they chose him cos throughout these interviews I was imagining what answers I'd give to Alex if I was a contestant and I wrote down "Winnie-the-Pooh". 🐻
I really liked watching Mae's working out in real time how to accurately describe what age he is.
@@Tao_Tology yeah! Cos even the character himself isn't strictly a child (if i remember correctly) - similar to Pooh, he's both an adult and a child at once, i think. Plus the fact that the book was written a long time ago. So hard to answer:)

i thought series 7 was my fav but no, it's series 15. It's been so satisfying tot watch and it's special to me as well cuz of Mae~
Just an FYI, you don't actually smell anything burning, it's just the smell of the gas they use in the laser.

I've had laser eye surgery, and it certainly did smell of burning during the procedure.
@@saraholiveedwards4697 when I had PRK dubs it smelled like burning hair. They are cold lasers so no burning. I am an OD who worked at a laser center for 15 years, and a patient!
Somewhat surprised that Alex failed to consistently use the name Mae Pearl. He usually nails that kind of thing consistently.

The person hiding behind the couch even moved and pulled out a camera, and they still didn't see them? Or maybe, maybe they thought the person was just part of the crew and filming from there.
The would be my guess. The participants are used to having crew around trying not to be in frame. It would not be out of the ordinary for them and they would simply act as if they were not there.
I agree. I felt like Mae glanced at that person while leaving the room. So my thought was also that they probably thought the person was part of the crew. But only with Mae. I don't think other contestants spotted the guy.

Anyone wondering about couch person: you can see them lower their camera as the view pans by @ 8:20. Similar in a couple other of the interviews. Looks like a crew photographer tucking themself out of view for benefit of the 360 shot, not necessarily hiding. doesn't seem too weird after pausing on them for a sec (tho, would definiitely be weird in any other context!)
Now that I think of it, the contestants might be seeing the person there and ignoring them because they're used to having camera people hiding in corners of the room the whole time they were filming...

If you watch the 360-degree 'VR' versions of these videos (not sure there's one available for Mae's but some of the others have them available) you can click and drag on the video to pan, and just look at that hiding person for the whole time.

@@simontay4851 they/them is often used for one person. You probably use it everyday. For example: “someone left their keys here”. Mae is nonbinary (they don’t identify fully with male or female) and they use they/them :)

I love her! I love how freaking polite she is all the time lol. Definitely timeless and one of my favorite contestants. Alex and the Andy’s did so well in picking this group; their chemistry is on point!

Mae rocks. I only saw them on Ultimate Worrier so I didn't really know what to expect. But of course this show hasn't missed on cast in 15 series.

It's only with the magic of hindsight, but the right answer to the question about the favourite part of his face, is nothing. If you must elaborate, then say all of his face is equally unlikeable.
or say something along the lines of I find your face incredibly off putting, I'd rather look anywhere else besides it. but a) that's a little heavy handed for all but Frankie or perhaps Jenny if he's wound her up and b) as you say requires the hindsight of knowing it's a trap to hinder you.
"The skin" means you get it all and the bonus of that sounding like a creepy answer ;)
