You would have to measure the decibel’s to see which is louder. They bought sound at the same db’s, but I’m not going to waist my time. I just like the train better, you can scare the Shiite out of somebody!
@julioiglesias6424 I think it's to do with the way the mic is picking them up or that one has a much higher pitch. I have the first horn and it's rated at 120db. From what I've read, this exact DeWalt train horn is rated at 130db.... which equates to 10 times louder than the 120db horn. It doesn't sound 10 times louder here but I can't imaging they're lying about how many db it is.
I doubt it. It's probably the way the mic picks up different pitches. The first horn is rated 120db (I know because I have one). The DeWalt horn, from what I've read, is rated 130db, which is ten times louder (this is how db ratings work). Or perhaps the lower pitch makes it sound less loud? Idk but the db rating is much higher. 130db is somewhere between an ambulance siren (@ 120db) and a jet engine taking off (@ 140db) according to what's online.
@@American-Plague Hate to break it to you but there's no way those little 3 chime plastic horns produce 130dB. Also, 130dB from what distance? Claiming a sound output figure with no distance is useless. The industry standard would be either 1m or 2m, and I doubt the horn produces 130dB at either of those anyway. That little direct drive air compressor produces very little air flow. I've done tests and air horns of similar types only produce around 115dB at 1m away with their stock air pump, which is barely much louder than some stock car horns. If you run it at 100psi with a proper compressor, they still only produce 125dB max. The red plastic air horn would definitely be louder because the gaseous air canister provides much more compressed air to the trumpet. The 130dB claim is just false marketing rubbish.
@@SpringSteel-m2p Are you the same person who "hated to break it to me" previously? As if I have some sentimental attachment to horn I've never even seen? Again, you could perhaps just try being helpful so I don't waste my money instead of coming across like a condescending dick.
@@SpringSteel-m2p exactly, thats why all actual loud horns (like the small horn in this case) run on a tank of air because it can be kept at much higher pressure, than what a compressor can instantnly provide (what the impact horn is doing)
Calling those plastic toys 'train horns' is misleading. They're cheap eBay specials. Nowhere near 150dB as they advertise. Probably 120-125dB at max, and that's with pressurised air, not the little direct drive compressor powered by the impact gun battery. Not a real train horn unless it's Nathan Airchime or Leslie etc.

One sounds like you Started a Race, the other sounds like you Mashed All the Piano Keys at Once
The black horn
I like the increased train horn much better turn out of 10
“Regular train horn”
*proceeds to use $5 can air horn*
Lol
💀💀💀
Me at 3am: why am I watching this?
5 am for me I can’t sleep…
3am. Same
Me too 4am... 😂
Because u want one
3:45
I've never needed something more in life.
The first one is louder but the second one sounds more like a train horn
I just got this in the mail. First thing I can hear since becoming deaf 😂😂
OMG!!!!!! Me too! I got one for a friend and I tried it out here at home. Not sure I'll give it to him he's a DJ and he's gotta be able to hear. 😮
Regular horn sounded louder. Could be that the little horn has a higher tone.
Yes
😂 your right. It did sound louder. And if’s only as loud as it gets at 100 ft, it’s a crap product

THEN COMPARE IT TO A NATHAN AIRCHIME OR LESLIE SUPERTYFON HORN (actual train horns)
Thinking that same thing lol... neither of these are train horns
This guy is a professional next door neighbor
I need one of those impact horns! Lol
Well... That's not a train horn
That is. It would usually be fit on yard switchers and small diesel locomotives.
@@lemowonderswhat3717Nope. That would be a cheap aftermarket horn. Wouldn’t last a day on a locomotive before it breaks.

1) WAKE TF UP
2) your train horn
3) WAKE TF UP THIS MORN-
Grandkids screaming
Me: watch this 😂
It’s not a train horn unless manufactured by Nathan Airchime or Leslie. You’re horns are just air horns.
The yellow one sounds like an actual train, the other one doesn't sound at all like a train.
Yoo i just got mine!!! Its so loud!!! This is incredible
Try this at a further distance. High pitched sounds seem louder at short distances, but lower tones carry sound.
the generic air horn is louder!!!!!
As it should be, because it’s used for actual emergencies, while the other is basically just a toy.

Nice video but none of these horns are railroad grade.

Regular one proceeded to play our soviet anthem
Love the train horn
generic air hord is louder but train horn sounds better
I like trains so of course the train horn
I gotta buy 1 of these
Ive got a whole bag of 54 caliber lead shot and a high power slingshot ready for the next person driving around at dawn with one of these
Super ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The de Walt sounds like the bnsf but the air horn sounds a train from a different country
Guy, it’s a phone microphone. It’s compressed. They both sound the same.
"A lot of people are asking if I can compare my plastic toy nerf gun and my real life army grade bazooka. Tell me which one you like better"
No train horns were used on any of these videos
IMPACT TRAIN HORN NEED ONE OF THOSE
A normal train horn is a lot louder but your train horn a lot cooler
Bro really called a tiny air horn "train horn"
all aboard! this train stops everywhere!
the train horn is a little chilling😅 its kind of scary at night but i would pee myself if heard this train horn its scary 😨
i need a water proof option for my kayak
British train horns-
American train horns-
I told you I want one 😅
I’m a big Dewalt fan but you’re comparing a single horn to a multi horn?
Yo can u make a deep sounding one? I would definitely buy it.
The regular horn sounds louder
regular air horn is the way to go....
How many or when can you have that bulky thing on your hand when it's needed.
The train horn doesn’t have enough PSI to get the best sound
I like the train horn
Gotta admit the small horn sounded better
Imagine after someone watches the boiled one And then here that before they fall asleep
Regular horn
The Dewalt special!!! Sounds great 👍
I liked the regular one
The smaller one is much louder and better to hear! or was the battery low?
generic horn:normal
impact train horn:Reboot van
you can seal sound in a bladder then compres sthe bladder then open the valve

No, the train horn is louder
Regular are best fit for a metro or rapid transit train
The second one kind of sound like a train horn😅😅
Next do a real train horn
Good 😅
Quad Horn sounds like it carried farther.
The answer is you need both!
Next impact vs K5LA
cheaper one have high pitch
big one have a warm and soft sound
Train for sure
Can you buy a kit to attach these to any drill?? I’m a scare actor clown and I’m going to use this for huge scares this season
Airhorn: single Bb note
Train horn : inverted C major chord
The choice is simple
Well it's kind of confusing I like them both I like a horn but I like your train horns
they are not train horns
Love ur work bro
air horn versus train horn
TRAIN CHIMES (they are correctly called CHIMES). You need a bigger compressor.
Well that backfired
The second one is absolutely the best

see that funeel shape and how it amplifies sound, if only cables were shaped and worked that way for power eh
People trackside are SO ANNOYING with these that blast them at the train
Bro, neither one is a train horn, they are both just small air horns.😅
The regular one sounds louder
Sure the air horn is louder but the dewalt horn is cooler
I would buy it if I could get an RS3K

Dual horn is louder than the quad guys
