7th playthrough as M.Bison aka Balrog in Occident,versatile character to work, plyaing him more fast as possible shows off how good the boxer can be against all characters, sadly he don't have lot of custom combo variation (he is good against large characters) and still enjoyed to play with him.

This Street Fighter version was awesome and Balrog finisher is more awesome than the SFV version.
Here's a li'l trivia for you. In the original Japanese version, Balrog (the boxer) was called M. Bison (after Mike Tyson), Vega (the masked man) was called Balrog and M. Bison (the YES! YES! guy) was called Vega. Their names had to be switched because, well, Mike Tyson might sue Capcom.
There was also another reason, Capcom from USA thought that the name "Vega" didn't fit the main villain, so they switched the names of the three bosses for Street Fighter 2. But recently Tyson said that he was honored by his impersonation. Also the "M. Bison" name for the boxer is "Mike Bison", while for the main villain it's "Master Bison".

Balrog/Bison is so underrated as a character. He's the coolest character in Street Fighter right next to Birdie in my opinion. Thanks for this.
definitely he is also really good and feels good playing with if you know how to use him right. his backstory is also pretty cool coming up from a poor kid to a heavyweight boxing champion. ive always liked balrog since i was little.

I always kinda looked up to him in a weird way. I always enjoyed characters from a poor background that fought and worked their way to the top. We weren't exactly rolling I'm money when I was little which is why I like Balrog as much. Keep in mind that at this time I didn't really know about the real success story from people growing up poor making their way to the top.
I actually see Balrog get quite a bit of hate for being so money grubbing which I can understand, but I see it differently. I see it as a man that grew up with very little, did what he did best and got rich and he doesn't ever want to give that up. When I fought him in one of the 50 different versions of Street Fighter 2, when I saw the look on his face in combination with the music I always saw someone that fought so hard to get where he is and he doesn't want to give that up.
I don't know why I wrote so much. I never really got my opinion about Balrog as a character out, so I want to throw it out even if nobody reads it. I don't like what they did with Balrog in SFV with edd and such. They shouldn't be trying to redeem Balrog, they should be giving us a little more detail about his backstory so the common player can respect him and know how he got so corrupted by money.
I doubt anyone will read all this, but I want to get this out there somehow. If you DID read all of this, I very much appreciate your time.
I feel the same way. I look up to him in a way as well. It sounds corny but he honestly is an inspiration. Though he is a really really dirty boxer, he still became successful from nothing but hard work. I've also always played with Balrog since I was 5 or 6 years old. I understand where you are coming from for sure.

O nome do personagem é Mike Bison uma homenagem a Mike Tyson
Só que a Capcom americana achou melhor mudar e em vez de criar os sprites do novo nome preferiu cagar o jogo todo trocando o nome dele com o do Vega e o do Balrog

Mike Bison is his original name in japan he's based off Mike Tyson
So they wouldnt get sued. They flipped it around to go under the radar. Tyson didnt know about Balrog/M.Bison/Mike Bison till like a year or so ago.
Worldwide, Vega is a feminine name, so its name has been replaced by a relatively feminine character.(Character with claws as weapons)
