+Cichlidscape • haha that would be nice but I don't expect lightning to strike twice
It's called an egg tumbler. I collect them from the female and slowly put them into the tumbler
Yes she keeps them in her mouth. I hold them gently in a small container of water and very gently open her mouth with a toothpick or tweezers. The eggs fall right out
Thanks Tyrone
Magic of nature. Well done
+HalfMan HalfCichlid thank you sir
So cool Adam how do you like that tumbler I just bought one and have not used it yet seems really good
+Ry Mac cichlids it does it's job. this one is made by tinksky
Adam C cool thanks bud I have the same one
great vid bro..
+Yanksfan23 thank you yanks
That was amazing!!!! Why do they need to start out that way? Bobbing like that?
They have to stay moving so they don't get the fish version of bed sores on their egg and get sick
This is an amazing video, thank you!! :) I've taken the fries out of the incubator when they have VERY little sacks and they all died :((( I think it was too early?
Probably so, once it's gone that's when I remove them. They also can't swim well on their own with the sacs attached
How many days after the egg sacks were completely gone til u released them out of the tumbler?
Amazing, first time see this in my life, never watch any video like this. great job. How much time need to grow this?
thank you for watching. this was over a 20 day period
What is the name of the tumbler you used i have red zebras and two are carrying eggs i could really use one, great video👍👍👍
thank you antonio. there are a lot available on amazon. thats where I got these for around 15bucks each. this specific tumbler is made by Tinsky
Question, what kind of filter system if any do you need when you put them into the bigger tank ,
Usually sponges are fine for fry
That is brilliant!
Thank you for watching
DANG!!! That, was AMAZING!!!!
+Aquatic ventures thanks for watching
Nice video, thanks
+BobbyG.Cichlids thank you Bobby
Super cool. I’ve been letting my females hold and spit, but every time I watch one of your videos with the egg tumblers, it makes me think about switching it up.
+Tazawa Tanks thanks for watching. if i thought I could let the female hold and still get all the fry id probably go that route
day 21 is my best part, cause they have consumed the youlk sac and they remind 3-4 week old European Perch(perca fluvatilis)
very cool
Super video Adam
+Brian Meehan thank you Brian

21 days in the tumbler - wow! I left a batch of eggs in the tumbler over a 7 day vacation and they got fungus. Another batch was fine - swimming fry
Thanks for watching
So my dragon blood had eggs and they are in a tumbler now, but today i woke up and i seen that they have a clear coat all around them, can anyone tell me what to do !
Very nice sir❤️👍
What were you holding the eggs? Can I buy online? I've kept fry in mesh net boxes before and the fungi gets really bad
It is called an egg tumbler. I got mine on Amazon for pretty cheap
@@adamc7918 Thanks boss! Great video!
What is this contraption? How does it work and why do the eggs have to be in it? Are these one of those cichlids where the fry hide in the parent's mouth?
Yes the parents hold the eggs. This is called an egg tumbler. It simulates the mother holding them
How did you make this equipment of glass type equipment
I bought it on Amazon. It's called an egg tumbler
The miracle of life
+Joe Munoz thanks for watching
You should've added some cartoon voices to the vid like off of Finding Nemo where the fish are bumping into each other hahaha!
+BigRobs Sichlids haha
What is this part called?
Is this from day one of holding or you let the fish hold for a certain amount of days first? Thanks
She held them for 3 days first so essentially this begins on day 4
Okay great thanks.
Can't wait to see those comments like "I thought that was an unpopped popcorn" lol
+Thushar Jithesh haha they will probably come
Which spieces of fish is it?
Realmente Hermoso...saludos desde Chile.-
Thank you
Wow! All in day one!!
Not quite in 1 day lol
@@adamc7918 interesting, I'm just going off what was said in the video. it started off saying day one. It didn't break it down anywhere throughout the video. Basically, to show the progression, it can't start off by saying day one and nothing else. It's confusing. Every time a jump-cut is done, it should announce the following day. Day 2, day 3 and so on.
I did 3 or 4 other videos similar to this and posted the days like u mentioned, most people didn't like it for some reason
@@adamc7918 gotcha. Wonder why? I like more info in my opinion.
I really dont know, I thought the same as u
Nice I have fish she cary eggs to how many in days to strip from the fish I already have 3 to 4 days
+adeel shaikh I usually strip after around 4 to 6 days but that's just me
Thanks
What kind of cichlid, and when did you start to feed them?
Hi david, I've done that with many different species on UA-cam, the species should be stated in the video or the video description. I start to feed them when the egg sack is almost completely disappeared
That's so cool
+JDO Fishtank thank you for watching
Awesome 👍😊
Thank you
That is sssooo cool
Thanks for watching Shaun
Love this! How are the baby plecos doing?
+Tom Dunne thanks Tom. I had to move them because the young cichlids were picking on them
Adam C so where are they too now?
+Tom Dunne I put them in my 220 behind the background. they love it back there, tons of space and always pretty dark with tons of algae
What do you feed them after this stage? :)
they get a fish food that is almost like a powder
Wait so just for clarification their sacs are their stomaches?
They absorb the egg to start life
What brand of egg tumbler was this?
it is made by tinksky
Did you make your tumbler?
No I got it on Amazon
Beautiful
thanks jose
Sir what is that tube thingy called?
Its called an egg tumbler
Hi Adam, do you have any albino flavescent fry available for sale, I’m interested?
Hi mike, unfortunately not at the moment
Ok, thank you
What if not use incubator for eggs?? I put eggs to an bottle 3 days before
If they have air movement that can work
@@adamc7918 I put an oxygen tube in bottle. Is it work?..
Done an amazing jobs bro 😎😎👍👍👈👈
+md mahim thank you very much
Are they moving or there is an air in the little tank
Air moves the water inside the tube to keep the eggs moving
@@adamc7918 thank you for noticing 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What do u feed them when they this small
They absorb the orange egg sac as food
well done
+Mr Hackro thanks for watching
Adam. How do I get some of these fry?
+tnnsman7 since this is the first spawn I'll probably be hanging on to this group more than likely. but I will be selling future fry
they dont need any food or anything ?
I am having cichlid babies, how I should raise them? Should I keep them spared from other fishes?
your best chance is to isolate them once they can swim
Eee wow season 2
Thanks for watching
Hey Adam, always thought this process, was so interesting. Need your help tho.... So I have a all male African Cichlid Peacock tank. I was performing a water change a couple days ago and saw two babies! Imagine my shock! I never wanted to breed and apparently I do have a female in there, who knows maybe two. I have not been spending a lot of time watching them lately as my mom has been the the hospital. I imagine the rest were eaten. I have no clue what to do with these babies, I have an empty 10 gallon I could put them in. This is my first day off, so I can read articles online, but I hate feeling so inapt, unprepared. Would I kill the babies, using a fish net? I think I would have to remove all the big guys/ gal (apparently) first, before trying to catch the babies. I ordered a couple of sponge filters last night. The babies are hiding really nicely right now, but I'm scared the rest will get eaten😭. I only see two. Any advice on my next steps to try and save these babies would be SO appreciated.😲😱 Thanks!
+Drea Parks haha this happens often. if you want them to live you'll definitely want to get them out of there. a 10 Gallon would do fine. if they are swimming around you should be able to gently net them out . when they are in your 10 Gallon you can feed them fry food or crushed up flakes. you feed them a few times a day. make sure and give them some places to hide
When I noticed I had fry. I built some small caves out of lava rock so the babies have a refuge.
What is ideal water tempreature for these fry?
I keep them right around 81 or 82 degrees
Just like my arowana fry
What is the name of the hatchery you are using?
+Pat Lamm hi pat it is called an egg tumbler
Ah think he meant brand ???!!!
Oh ok sorry. This one is a Tinsky brand
So how long did it took the Cichlid fish eggs to hatch ?
It is usually 18 to 21 days
Bravo 👍
Thank you
Respected Brother, I’m From Pakistan
I have an Electric Yellow Cichlids Pair and The Female Have Colored fry in her Mouth
Also In the same Tank, I have 7 different colored same size cichlids
Should I have to Separate other Fish to a Different tank?
OR
Should I have to Separate Yellow Pair Or only Female to a Different Tank?
Because I don’t Have Too Much Equipment for Fry Keeping like you have 😅
It all depends what your goal is. If you want all the fry to survive your best bet is to relocate the female. It also lowers her stress
Hi there, I have couple of red parrot fish with single Green terror fish, Is it fine to keep in my tank....
I am not able to figure out the gender also pls help me.....
+bala krishna they will probably be ok as long as the tank is big enough
Adam C tank is big.... thank you
How do you feed them?
They absorb that egg as food
This video is amazing =) Which species is this?
this is taeniolethrinop furcicauda yellow. thank you
Wat typ of cichild is this 😍💜
These are buccochromis rhoadesii yellow
