    Gibson 63. I've been working on my '65 Buick Gran Sport for over a year now and every once in awhile I get the feeling I'm never going to get it done. Then I just watch your amazing work, get motivated and tackle another rusty panel. Thanks for the insipration!

    You're remarkable workmanship throughout all your restoration videos, clearly shows that with a lot of hard work / patience & the desire to learn from others , that a project like this can be done by doing it yourself.: ) Once again your level of detail restoring this truck to a SHOW QUALITY level is truly BREATH TAKING to say the least . Thank you so much for sharing these videos with myself & others who are thinking of or are already in the process of doing a car/ truck restoration . Please keep these videos uploaded here on UA-cam for many more years , thank you & take care .

    I know I'm late to the party, but dang those doors look sweet! Great inspiration and info. I'm planning to repaint (same color) my cab interior. Can you tell me, for the doors interior, how much paint did you prepare? I don't have a lot of experience and would like to not mix too much. A couple people told me a quart, single stage, would cover the whole interior?

    Just stumbled upon your videos from the summer here… nice work. Love your attention to detail; remind me of how I work. Learning watching you. Glad you showed some of the buffing work at the end. Wanted to see how that was done with the buffing tool. I'm starting a restoration of a '67 F100 and pulling it apart now. I will be at this stage in the spring of '15. Thanks for sharing the experiences! Subscribing. Clay

    Gibson! I am a fan of yours! I saw your videos over and over again, I'm from San Juan, Argentina! I would like to paint my C10 the same color as your truck, Red, could you tell me the color code? I thank you very much, although I do not understand the language, I learn a lot!

  • @ericnull6645
    @ericnull6645 10 років тому

    I am learning sooooo much from watching you work. I am in awe to what detail you do everything, I think you have the ability to show your truck in the Detroit Autorama when your done with it. I have a question that I ask only because I am still learning at this, why did you only paint the inside of your doors and not both sides? It looks great and I am looking forward to more videos of your project and hope to start on my 67 Impala with what I have learned from your videos.

    • @Gibson63.
      @Gibson63.  10 років тому

      To me it was easier to do one side at a time and complete the inside of the cab and then focus on all the outside panels

    Love watching your videos , sure have learned a lot . If I decide to do my own painting , I will definitely be doing that part inside a large portable canvas garage ( with exhaust fans ) to eliminate all overspray from inside my main shop . I see that you setup a few fans by the garage roll up door & hung up some plastic to keep overspray from settling all over to a minimum : )

    Amazing video! How did you buff in the grooves in the door?

    • @Gibson63.

      The grooves are raised so I went around with the big buffer pretty easy, on hard to reach places I use my drill with a small buffing pad

    the perfect it system is awesome , thats what I use. The only thing I do different is after the buffing is done I use a breathable protectant (formulated for NEW paint) called Shine Master by Wizards. Its the last step I do to protect the finish. Then after a few months I use regular wax.

    all the proof that a good job begins by a good base, a good process and a good finish
    probably that these doors are better than the original as originally, often, there even no paint in the inside of the panels.
    I've often replaced doorskins that were bare metal on the non apparent side ...american bullshit!!!!!
