I have 16 chickens, 8 are novagens. I got the novagens last spring after I saw your video on them. All 8 of them lay every single morning, even this winter. My other chickens lay about every other day. I will stick with novagens if I can find them again. I enjoy and learn from your content, thanks.

Cool man, Middle of Summer here,I have just let out 2 mothers with their chicks and another is looking after her own little ones all by herself they are French Houdan X Araucana .I feed in the morning then they free range around all day, most of them laid all winter long and this is great. Can you tell me what type of bands you use,I really need something to ID all the different broods.I also forgot to mention ten I have also hatched in an incubator that are about 4 months old.

Right on 👊 Letting the birds out daily should not be overlooked for so many reasons but it absolutely will boost egg production imo. Sounds like you have got them working well for you. I just use colored zip ties to differentiate. Cheap and works just fine.

I've only got 12 birds (8 blue copper Marans & 4 lavender Orpingtons) that are basically just pets.
I throw a half cup of moringa powder & a couple of capsules' worth of vitamins D3 & K2 powder in every other 5 gallons' worth of food through the winter as we have less greens available as well as feeding them some cooked eggs & some mealworms on really cold days.
They lay about 1/4 - 1/3 the rate that they do in the summer & they're consistent.

I’m starting to get to know who has greens/produce around our area so we can build a similar setup. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Be blessed ❤️🌿 J

3 things that have the biggest impact on egg production is breed, feed and light, I just bought 60 day old chicks last week and posted a video on my channel, it will be a while before I can post egg production on them. But I have been watch all your videos on Biochar as I want to grow some of my own chicken feed for the scratch yard, Maize sunflowers, peas and beans.

Breed, feed and light indeed. Another one to add to that list is age. 👌
