This Chicken Biryani is made with the twist to the classic recipe. The addition of coconut milk, whole spices and making it in a pressure cooker makes this flavorful rice in less than 30 minutes. Coconut milk adds to the richness and multitude of flavors to a dish, it gives a very coastal touch and brings out the spice beautifully.
For Biryani Masala Powder:
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cardamom - 3
Cloves - 3
Fennel - 1 Teaspoon
For Biryani:
Chicken - 500g
Basmati Rice - 2Cups or 400g (soak in water for 15mins)
Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
Water - 3 Cups
Ghee - 2 Teaspoon
Cooking Oil - 2 Tablespoon
Onion - 2 Large size (sliced)
Tomato - 2 Medium size (chopped)
Green Chilli - 2 (sliced)
Ginger and Garlic Paste - 2 Teaspoon
Coriander leaves - a handful
Mint Leaves - a handful
Coriander powder - 2 Teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Curd/Yogurt - 1Tablespoon
