I only found this band a month ago, but it's crazy how their visual aesthetic has changed throughout the years, while their music style remains pretty similar (which is to say, upbeat, catchy and full of sick riffs!)
I remember this from my high school hipster days, I was so in love with them lol (I still am) it’s so cool seeing their music change and morph throughout the years while still containing that classic “last dinosaurs” sound.
Everyday I try to work out how to In anyway clear my thoughts and doubts Hey there, Andy, what's this all about? He says, aim and shoot it, that's all it is to it My sea and world was in my hands You'll find sometimes things don't go to plan We found music somewhere in our heads Something went WRONG? This is where we belong Meet me on the surface of Jupiter We don't need no reason, just make it up Bring your pen and paper and some time to think Don't you leave a page 'til your out of ink You don't really have to change, change for me Nothing ever is the same, without me You don't really have to change, change for me This is where we belong This is where we belong This is where we belong This is where we belong This is where we belong This is where we belong This is where we belong You don't really have to change, change for me Nothing ever is the same, without me You don't really have to change, change for me
Andy is a song about the guy Last Dinosaurs met when they were recording at a farm. Andy gave them the opportunity to shoot some rifles. The extreme adrenalin rush led to the creation of this song! Andy was apparently the "Coolest guy in the Southern Heliosphere"
From listening to this non-stop in High school back in 2012, to finally seeing them live twice now. these guys have came a long way and are still very slept on. Last Dinosaurs Rock !!!
I dunno whether to feel anger or happiness because Last Dinosaurs were mentioned in a playlist of Hasoyi (this song included) and still noone notices them! Disturbed because how the hell is this band being slept on a seriously high level! Spotify apparently used “flying” in their ads and didnt mention nothing about it, but idk if thats true. Happiness because we still get to keep these lads to ourselves!! Im still kinda shocked tho.
I strongly vibe with this song. Lately I've been slowly pushing to expand my musical tastes and find other things I like, and I think this is helping quite a bit.
Por fin pude verlos en vivo. Recuerdo hace años cuando escuchaba esta canción, me trae muy buenos recuerdos. Los últimos pinches dinosaurios de todo el mundo.
Stop comparing them to others; they're their own thing. Their music is fantastic! I was lucky to see them live and it was the best concert of my life. I listen to TDCC, Arctic Monkeys etc but seriously these guys are totally different. They aren't part of the generic australian indie bands and if you had time to read the meaning of their album "A Million Years" you'd be astonished how much thought and effort has been put into their work! So so impressing! Love you Last Dinosaurs!
Oh man, where i have been after these 10 years, and in 2022 i just found this amazing music band. Apollo, andy, zoom, sense, italo disco it just added on my work playlist, and play it everyday.
love these boys! this is honestly one of the greatest songs I've heard and witnessed live. Stage presence and energy was beyond amazing. Can't wait to see them again at Homebake.
The bass in this song drives me wild. Love love love
Too bad the bassist in this video already left the band :/
Yep, but their new album is even more incredible so I'm not even mad
+Michael Carnero True not even complaining about it 🙌 can't wait for the next album already
does anyone know why he left?
Jadon Harper i think Sam wanted to do his own music im not sure
This song is a clear example of how in a rock band the creativity of a drummer is essential.
bloc party

The Last Dinosaurs survived The Cretaceous Period, but are stuck in the 80's.
