Yeah, it was crazy how much better the prints were after I added those upgrades. Leveling the bed is so important in 3D printing to ensure your first layer is done proper. If the first layer is crap, the whole print is crap. And there is too much human error in manual leveling, despite the fact that I spent several hours manual leveling (no exaggeration).
You’re welcome! And thank you for your awesome work on improving the CFX! I’ve enjoyed seeing the app, desktop app, and GraFX expanding the possibilities.
I was curious about your wiring diagram and notes that you have linked to your google drive. It seems you don't have the google drive folder setup for read only public access. Is there a better link to that information? I would also be really interested to see your Fusion 360 model of your chassis! I've been considering doing something very similar and having an example to look off of would be excellent!
Great questions! I keep the google drive folder on read-only so that no one accidentally alters the original documents. What you can do is make a copy of the google drive folder for yourself. It will save a copy to your google drive. As far as giving you a closer look at my Fusion 360 models, that will be very difficult. Since I am using the free-version, all of my Fusion 360 sessions are saved to Autodesk's cloud and linked to my account. In order for me to share them, I would have to upgrade to a subscription. The best I could would be to send you the .stl files of the chassis. If you know how to convert the model to something you can work with in Fusion 360, then you'd be in business. Keep in mind, my chassis is specifically designed for my lightsaber, so you may have to do several modifications on it.
@@jraffytaffy2678 Sorry! I should have worded my comment better! I was meaning that the google folder is completely locked down so you can't even read it as read-only to make a copy of it. It just has a "request access" screen that comes up if you try to open it. Its too bad that the Fusion 360 models are cloud only. I had assumed it would be similar to how Autodesk's other products (like Inventor) work, but its unfortunate it's not! Makes it much harder for people to share designs. I was mainly interested in the overall size of the different features of your chassis (like overall diameter - I am using the same CSS MHS parts!), the size of the pocket you hollow out for the CFX etc. Thank you for posting this update, it got me excited to keep working on my project again that had somewhat lost interest in!
Glad I helped relight the fire. If you just click on the “request access” tab, it sends me an email notifying me of the request. Then I can give you access. The notes I have on my dimensions should help you, but you may still need to do some test prints to get it just right. I use metric measurements. Also, in the video description is a link to Solo Sabers LLC’s UA-cam. He has two tutorial videos on chassis building. The dimensions he uses helped me get started, but he uses inches. I only converted them out of preference. Let me know if you need any more help.
I love the builds but i don't know why i subscribed like I'm ever gonna be able to afford building my own saber... I can't even afford a damn $75 stunt saber. :/ gorgeous as always though
This is a nitpick, but something which you might have use for in the future if no-one's mentioned it yet; the singular of chassis is pronounced "chassee", plural is "chassis", if you mean singular you'd be better off using the first one unless you want to sound like a bartender with bad grammar.
Nice work! I enjoyed seeing the upgrades you did to the printer itself, that was really interesting.

This has helped me so much! Thanks so much.
You’re welcome. Glad to hear the video is helping people.
Very nice! Chassis making gets addicting in my opinon
Oh definitely. I’m still rethinking it. Might even try a new design in a few years.
@@jraffytaffy2678 Once I learned I had to redo my entire collection. Its taking some time lol. Love the video man.
excellent video. thanks for making this!

U work at my school🙃
LOL now you've discovered one of my habits for the summer: posting boring UA-cam videos about nerdy things. LOL
