Hard truth, but I think you're right. Seems like a go along, get along kind of guy. Dre, Eazy and Cube were clearly the go-getters, and didn't just "settle" for the bare minimum. Great interview. Always love Vlad’s interview with DJ Yella. It is sad how he was homeless just a year and a half ago . There is no way a member of one of the most famous groups in hip hop history, should ever be homeless. I know Nwa group members didn’t really have a contract and I am not sure if they are subject to any royalties, but it is sickening that he was in that position. I believe Easy E’s wife is head of his estate therefore subject to all royalties, probably publishing, and masters . I know if this is true and she’s not even covering Lil Easy E’s health insurance, there is no way she is doing anything for Yella or anyone else . Dre is a certified billionaire and Cube is obviously very successful, why would they know one of their brothers is struggling and not help him . It is crazy . I understand they probably didn’t know the full extent to how bad he was struggling but they probably knew . I understand it is not their job to uphold another full grown man , but a brother should never be left out there . They probably didn’t know I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Dre’s own daughter was homeless and I can’t believe he actually was unaware of that , so he probably knew about Yella . It is sad .

I don’t know you and I don’t want to make any assumptions, but, you will find, that in this life, “friends”, “so-called friends” and even family, no matter what they may have, will rarely help you. Especially when you are down and out. When it comes to money, most people, not all people, but most people, do not share and they do not care. They may say they do, they may even act like they care, but, when the chips are down and it’s time to “put up or shut up”, most people will Shut Up. I think, I don’t know for sure, but, I think it’s because we’ve been conditioned to believe that it’s Every man/woman, for themselves. So, on this journey called “Life”, if you ever come across a person who puts their money where their mouth is”, remember to Always Respect and Cherish that person, because they are the exception to the rule. They are special, they are not the rule. We human beings are mostly selfish and greedy. People would rather you take their wife, than to take their money. I wish I were wrong, but, I’m a 56 year old man who has had to learn that lesson the hard way. Stay safe and always rely on yourself and you will never be disappointed. Take care.

I understand that’s sometimes women make it difficult to develop a strong bond with your child because they use the kid as a pawn. That sucks. The point here is, when a man takes responsibility for himself, and treats himself with respect, chances are that he will also be willing to treat other relationships with respect. It was definitely a good movie and very entertaining. It just wasn’t historically accurate. Which was stupid. They really tried to make it seem like Eazy went broke and was selling weed smh. Whole time he was getting a piece of everything Dre touched at death row. The fact the dr Dre even let those lies be put out to the masses says a lot about him

DJ Yella is a classic example of a good guy that is virtually invisible to everyone. He seems to be a genuinely good guy, but he is not super wealthy or famous. I bet Dre and Ice Cube have forgotten about him more or less. He's been reduced to a footnote in NWA history, which in my view is wrong.

It saddens me to think of Yella as Homeless while Dr Dre was worth a half of Billion, and Cube worth millions! Smh, what type of friends would allow that? Then again, maybe they didn’t know. But they did him dirty with the Movie. They could’ve gotten him at least a Million dollar check after the success of the film🤷🏽‍♂️ this is so crazy!
Furthermore, how they did Lil Eazy was F’d up too. Cube son got coached to play him. They could’ve gotten young E coached and make him prove hisself by losing the weight to play his dad which could’ve helped the family overall. Maybe he would’ve been sharper than the actor that played E, “Not taking anything away from him” But Dre and Cube swore up and down they loved Eazy, what better way to pay homage than to help the son get the Role and change his life financially?? Maybe i’m thinking to deep
