Unfortunately the outbacker doesn’t sell in our Amazon 😢 any who that’s a good looking stove and good size weight compared to the gstove it’s much lighter...I think they’re around 25lbs (20kilo??? Hi Nikki 1kg = 2.2lb so probably similar weight, but now I have to find a good brush for cleaning the flue only ran it for a few hours but got quite sooty! How much heat do these give off? Would they double up as a firepit if sat round it outside on colder camping trips? I'm not a fan of fire pits due to smoke and problems if its windy so thought this would be a good alternative.
You might have to sit close to it as they're really designed for heating a shed or tent which they do very well indeed Smoke wouldn't be an issue though as the flue is quite tall
I have a fireplace in my basement , could you run the shimmy pipe up my fireplace chimney , for emergency use for heat instead of running the chimney out a window

It radiates plenty of heat for warming a shelter and cooking as it's designed to do over time But in the open you have to be very close to it to benefit from that as it's not as radiant as a campfire The trade off is it vents the smoke from your shelter and is more fuel efficient Take care Roo

Legs would be OK but I would say you should have it on a concrete paving slab or something to protect your floor, you'll get embers and ash fall out occasionally and definitely when you're cleaning it out Most importantly have a carbon monoxide detector in the room if using in an enclosed space like that All the best Roo

Nice. I presume it is the same as the Frontier Stove available in the UK. A tip I was given for mine that a friend did to his. Get some metal grating or similar, I used a cut down small piece of old drain cover ( the horizontal type you put end to end along a pavement or end of driveway to drain rain water away) and put it in the bottom of the burning chamber. This will make the bottom of the chamber last longer as the heat of the fire is not directly on the bottom of the fire chamber, as only the ashes fall through that are already cooling. You could but if you want it for a semi permanent solution like that I've seen cheaper non folding ones

Kinda looked like it wasn’t drafting too well toward the end there.
A lot of that is oil from the burgers smoking on the stove top and I had over loaded it 😉
