Apple Season with evidence of Bear Activity!

There has been lots of bear activity in our apple tree out front. The bears come late at night and they don't make a sound as they climb the tree and eat apples. I know there is more than one bear by the number of poop piles left behind! I don't mind sharing the apples, this is the biggest crop yet, we did pick a few dozen for eating. I don't know the variety, I do know our 1/4 acre property was once part of a 5 acre corner family farm As for the rest of the garden I am making plans for areas to expand on and change. The purple fall asters are especially pretty, so are the purple berries on the beauty berry shrub and the dark burgundy castor bean plant.
