i confess i was hoping for a bit of an Errol injection, but the channel is fab in any event and i have a feeling it can be hard to track down even quite old Errol films, for some reason i don't fully understand given the length of time in question. This looks fun though!
The fabulous Olivia de Haviland died in July 2020 ,aged 104 , after a brilliant acting career. The great Errol Flynn died back in 1959. Mercifully ,neither were alive to see this dross posted on youtube

My late father's name was actually Robin Hood. One time, I believe in the 60's, he heard they were supposedly offering people with the name, Robin Hood a trip to England. I have traveled some, but never made it to England. My father was an incredible man. I miss him greatly. Stay safe and GOD bless.
Wonderful, the period detail looks very convincing. Obviously no fluke that Robert Clarke looks a lot like Errol Flynn. Think I’ve seen every Robin Hood movie ever made. The best are The Adventures of Robin Hood, 1938, Errol Flynn, and The Story of Robin Hood, 1952, Richard Todd.
I love Robin Hood I love her o'flynn's version I even liked Kevin Costner's version although he's wasn't as good as Earl Flynn I like the black and white TV series of Robin Hood and I'm going to like I'm sure I just started watching it thanks for posting this I believe I've heard about it before and I've been looking for this finally I found it again thanks for posting it

I noticed something, The castle set, shown at minute 29 in this film, is the very same set used in the movie, "Jack and the Bean Stock" with Abbot and Costello, where the giant chases after Abbot. I also have to admit, there are many different versions of the Robin Hood story.

It was hilarious from start to... as far as I got. Almost a total waste of celluloid and what's more someone has Colourized it. I can't believe it..Ha ha ha ha... Well at least it gave me a laugh..Ha ha ha ha...

I agree the best Robin Hood game Movie is the 1938 Errol Flynn version. Som of the stunts are corny by today’s movie standard. But it is true to the story to a book story line set out in book version I read as a boy.
Fun movie, BUT... In the Robin Hood legend there's no such person as "Sir Guy"; that's a Hollywood invention. Guy of Guisborn isn't a nobleman, just a common bounty hunter who bites off more than he can chew when he goes after Robin. Robin isn't a nobleman. He's a yeoman. Maid Marian isn't a noblewoman or a landholder. She's a commoner. 27:40 This scene had me grinning and chuckling.
You are splitting hairs. Much of your knowledge is correct but the average film goer of the time would not have known that, only the more recent version of the dispossessed nobleman turned outlaw in Sherwood Forest...

I've seen alot of old movies and alot of robin hood stories, lets just say this one was interesting.
As well intentioned as it may be, the acting in this movie is at about the level of a fair-to-midling high school play.
