- Very Rare radio recording. This is a 1943 radio program where Sinatra sings the Dick Haymes song "It Can't Be Wrong." It took me three years to track down this recording.
Sinatra sang this song for radio about twelve times in his lifetime, between 1942 and 1943. It can also be heard in the 1944 Looney Toons short the "Swooner Crooner" being sang by a caricaturized chicken of Sinatra.
ITS FRANKIE!!!!!!!
loool dead wright

Let me guess, Crooner Swooner brought you here?

I saw the Porky Pig short Crooner Swooner 32 years ago at age 4 on TV and had it taped! it introduced me to Frank and Bing
Thank you SO much! Whoever voiced the rooster in "Swooner Crooner" did a wonderful job in parodying Frankie's inflections.
apparently it was Dick Bickenbach, who's also a talented animator and layout artist, who worked for WB and MGM (Hanna Barbera unit) and also drew loads of great comics in the golden age
@@herr_crustovsky Wish Bickenbach became a singer instead of just a layout artist.
Omg years and years searching for this song😭😭😭😭😭
Dick Bickenbach, (one of the animators at WB), voiced the Sinatra rooster. He voiced a lot of Sinatra and Crosby caricatures at WB in the mid 40's.
I found this looking for the original from the Frankie caricature from the Warner Brothers cartoon "Catch as Cats Can" (1947). I've known the song since I was a wee kid (from the cartoon, which also has a killer Bing Crosby caricature), but I did not know the actual name until this evening.
Thank you sir! Great catch.
Don't forget Crooner Swooner
me too 😍 this is 2024 and now i'm 11yo , my friends told me that i'm weird cuz everytime they're around me they'll see that I'm listening to this song so many times. it's make me confuse why they're doesn't heard to this song before and fall in love with it just like me
Now, Voyager is one of the most beautiful films ever
Agree. And I love that it is used throughout “Mildred Pierce” as well.
@@debswatching yes, i forgot it was in that too!
Swooner Crooner was what first attracted me to crooners when I was just a girl. For *years* I have been trying to find a true recording of Sinatra singing this, so THANK YOU. I only wish it were also possible for there to be a recording of the one singing it in the cartoon as he too did a fantastic job!
And you like Bing Crobsy as well?
Frankie....The Voice !
It’s Frankie!!!!
Porky Pig brought you here too?
Hens: FRANKIE!!!
I remember this song from the early Sinatra years. His voice was so perfect then and the handsome shots are to die for. High praise also for the Dick Haymes version who was very popular at that time and a favorite of mine
Frank Sinatra, two magical words,,
This song was used in the night club scene in the John Wayne 1951 film "Operation Pacific" as an instrumental. Max Steiner originally wrote this as the love theme for the 1941 movie "Now Voyager" with Bette Davis.
The main love theme from the score of "Now, Voyager" was published as the hit song "It Can't Be Wrong" with music by Max Steiner and lyrics by Kim Gannon.
The rarity of this track make this video so valuable, it's not even on itunes, sadly i can't pay my respects by buying it so i gotta record it so i can have it on my ipod
Well, thank you for your research, it was worth it, I thought I knew of all Sinatra's songs, but I didn't know this one! So glad you looked it up so we can enjoy another song from his early years. Short but sweet song! I'm glad I have it now!
Best singer ever !!! The realy singer
Ditto. But, only as a young Frankie... once mature his voice was nice but surely, not the same.
No....Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland and Whitney Huston all top Frank!
It's FRANKIE
The chickens swooning
This is the theme music to "NOW Voyager", and MAX Steiner composed that piece.
Yes this is just gorgeous thanks for posting.,
Total Gorgeousity!
Excellent.
Remember the Looney Tunes cartoon where the Rooster was Frank Sinatra and he was singing this song to all the chickens? And the chickens would all swoon and say "it's Frankie"....and lay a mountain of eggs? What a classic! ua-cam.com/video/QAEUWL76ww0/v-deo.html
Love that short since I was four for 36 years
I wracked my brain and then it hit me: this is the theme from NOW, VOYAGER. Never knew Sinatra had sung it. Terrific!
He sang it only on the radio. He never recorded it.
Amazing!!!! Thank you very much
Thank you for this!!!
From "Now, Voyager", one B.D.'s touchstone movies
Am I the only one who thinks of looney toones..... Frankie
Yup
@@Johnlindsey289 specifically a rooster
SWEET THE YOUNG FRANKIE
YESSIR!
Heard this song on Star Trek 😮 yes I'm old.
It's a great song from a great movie! FYI -- Found the sheet music for it on Ebay and it's "Music by Max Steiner and Lyrics by Kim Gannon"
Intoxicantemente hermosa
The melody at times recalls the song KISS in the Marilyn Monroe film NIAGARA ( 1952)
Frank is wonderful, unforgettable, but this song belongs to Dick Haymes..even Frank acknowledged the beauty of his voice and delivery..
I like Sinatra's voice more
I have to disagree. Frank "owned" just about every song he did back in those days.
Now Voyager
Best!
Does anyone else think the tune sounds a lot like "Long ago and far away"?
This was the song that caused the hens to swoon over Frankie, causing Porky to panic and wonder where the hens went.
can you please direct me to where I can buy this? thanks for uploading.
Hare Ribbin' brought me here.
finally someone mentions this one too!!
🐔 ❤
Sinatra, that's why ny name is frank 😃
No dislikes omg did people grow a brain ? ...
💙🌻
It's FURAAAAANKIEEEE! *faint*
I'm a life long Sinatra fan but I actually prefer Dick Haymes' version of this song, as nice as Frank sings this.
I heard Sinatra's version first and then Haymes, I like Sinatra's better
Bugs bunny brought me here
The chickens ?
