Very high level camera work. Very under-appreciated masterpiece. When I hear this, it calls forth the entire Pagnol trilogy: 'Pescadou: Cã c'est un joli nom.'
The Marseille Trilogy? Ibert wrote plenty of film scores but that wasn't one of them.

Great piece! Beautiful hobo solo in the second movement. Really heard Arabic sounds.
Wunderschöne und spannende Aufführung dieser einzigartig konstruierten doch perfekt komponierten Suite mit farbenreichen doch perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt echt orientalisch und auch mysteriös. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt spanisch und auch lebhaft. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im veränderlichen Tempo und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Wunderbar und atemberaubend vom Anfang bis zum Ende!

Une œuvre que j'aime à réécouter avec diverses formations, avec mon orchestre préféré c'est le mieux ! Belle prestation du hautbois et de la flûte, comme d'habitude. Bravo à tous.
Ein Werk, das ich gerne noch einmal mit verschiedenen Gruppen höre, mit meinem Lieblingsorchester ist es am besten! Wie immer eine wunderschöne Darbietung von Oboe und Flöte. Glückwünsche an alle.

This is played here with a lot of character and intensity. In my opinion, the HR performs with a clearer concept and seems much better connected with Altinoglu than with his predecessor Orozco-Estrada.
Hey, how about Cannes? It has been my dream to spend time in Palermo. I think it will be mystical when I finally get there. Every time I'm close, something happens and I have to catch a plane. I draem. One day, it will be my city!

A superb upload. The recording is generally very good, but the balance denies the percussion its important role (where was the significant tam tam?). Even so, many thanks for uploading.
