Such a controlled performance from this undoubtedly magnificent conductor. This is not an easy work to play well. This orchestra absolutely nails it.
Finally, a new l’Extase. I’ve been waiting for such a performance from this orchestra.

This incredible piece has only one purpose and that is to kill the principal trumpet player. Most people do not know that the ending was stolen from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde. This is orchestration at the highest level. Scriabin was amazing.

Wunderschöne und bezaubernde Aufführung dieses spätromantischen und mysteriösen Meisterwerks mit farbenreichen doch perfekt entsprechenden Tönen aller Instrumente. Die Virtuosität aller Einzelspieler ist echt bewundernswert. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichente Orchester im gut analysierten Tempo und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Wunderbar vom Anfang bis zum Ende!
thanks for other great concert of hr-Sinfonieorchester , I listen this work again after in many years , as a matter of fact, Skrjabin was a great Russian and innovator composer , but in this beautiful piece ,he cannot scape from the the impressionism and particularly from Debussy "le Mer" and may be something of Ravel . But I admire deeply his masterpieces.

@Firebird 37 yes, Eliahu Inbal with the same orchestra, or Boulez with Chicago Symphony, or Barenboim with Orchestre de Paris on Erato. Best for me is Muti with Philadelphia Orchestra on EMI.
