New 2019 Brutale 800 RC Debuts at EICMA 2018
MV Agusta Releases 2019 Version of Its Delicious “RC” Models
The RC models are strong sellers for MV Agusta, so it is not surprising to see that the concept has permeated from the company’s superbike offering to virtually every machine in the Italian company’s lineup. For the 2019 model year, this idea is no different.
Getting a new livery, which has more black in the color scheme, MV Agusta has once again made its very attractive motorcycles into two-wheeled art. There isn’t too much more to say about this, though it is of note to see that the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 SCS model gets the RC treatment now, with its sport clutch system easy to spot.
For our money? We’ll take the MV Agusta F3 800 RC, one of our favorite sport bikes for the race track. This being the last year of the MV Agusta F4 might make the RC version a bit of a collectors edition, if you can’t afford the ultra-premium MV Agusta F4 Claudio that debuted just a few weeks ago.
Curiously though, the 2019 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RC is built off the base model version of this naked bike, instead of the more stout MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR. This seems like a miss to us, especially considering the performance difference, and just the general perception of the two models from high-end buyers.
Missing from this arsenal is of course the still-to-be-released MV Agusta Brutale 1000, which is set to make its world debut at EICMA this coming week, with 212hp on tap. We doubt we will see an RC model of this bike any time soon, perhaps for 2020.
