It's so sad to me that Michi worked so hard for so long for Niji, only to never make enough to afford to support herself independently of her parents. Then she's at Vshojo less than 6 months and she's already making enough to fully pay her medical bills plus affording a corrective back brace. Like how little was she getting paid by them that her pay shoots up to an actual profit she can invest back into her long-term wellness?
This is sad, because Niji ID is in actual more famous than Holo ID previously, with sponsorship etc, yet Ollie were able to buy a house, Moona pay debts, but Mika was struggling with tax penalties caused by the company.
See it's not even the cut % with that stuff. Niji was just not providing anything, so she had all the restrictions of corpo life with zero of the benefits, working her ass off out of social pressure to "keep ID afloat". Giving her a bigger share of a pie that they don't make bigger wouldn't have changed things because they ultimately didn't let (at least) those ID talents shine, and michi's immediate success elsewhere demonstrates what they had, what they squandered, all that time and effort wasted.
afford her to be independent? heck niji nearly screw her to oblivion instead by messing her tax, she need to give up all her health insurance to paid the tax and spend nearly a year just hoping she won't get sick bad enough to need medical attention even when she inherently pretty sickly from the start
@@ReiBerjibaku Much like Kuro this year finally paying off his taxes because again got screwed over. All of his savings that he accrued plus all of his subs and bits and even the advertising revenue all went back into paying off his taxes. When he went to the con in the UK, Vshojo had to cover the cost of airfare and hotel (they probably would have regardless, but in this case it was a HAD to because he didn't have the money after basic expenses.
And remember kids, nijisanji said that the impact of selen termination was "negligible" you can't make this shit up, but I can't help but laugh at how so wrong they were
@glitch2452 Perhaps this is one of the reasons people supported her so hard. Nobody likes it when a company downplays its issues . I'm not saying that this is why she's so successful now. She was always beloved by fans, but maybe that's what motivated some to support even more
Man. Pomu's frustration hurt so much and I didn't even know her then. I just got into this rabbit hole this February but it hurts to see someone so passionate get squashed so hard.
I view myself as a decently strong individual, and I tore up and struggled hearing Vivi’s message about feeling like she failed and her feeling ugly as a person… can’t respect the company after hearing how she ended up feeling
@@aPopcapsame. I've seen people cry, watched coco's graduation send off. Botan's part to be exact. Pomu's last stream and yet, vivi's graduation stream was the oof of the oofs. I had to come back to the stream over and over because I just couldn't watch it fully. Everytine she said she failed her fans and how she's defeated were so heart wrenching..
@@Nomimonyo And now Sunny can introduce her to the VShojo girls (Sunny has already collabed with Melody and I don't think it was their first time. Sunny is making all of her rounds collabing with old collab partners, making new allies and friends and I do hope her new partner in heists will be along for the ride. The one I am most interested in hearing about eventually is Jordan Sweeto after he leaves, that will be very interesting, cause unlike the rest of EN he must have known the base contract was garbage, he had signed deals with labels in the past. He knows decent contracts from crap contracts and he was willing to take that risk.
if i remember correctly from one of the parrot videos that Fulgur talk about how he misses Selen etc. and i guess fulgur was "supposed" to be in a Voice pack and all of a sudden he nijisanji said that fulgur wasn't "even supposed to be in the voice pack they put out" etc.
If I recall they make a slightly bigger cut from Voicepacks then they do from a lot of other things, right? So does this mean they took away his chance at making a little more money as punishment? If so, that's pretty messed up...
"You're not in Nijisanji unless management wants something from you" - Paraphrased and translated from Yuuki Chihiro, Nijisanji 1st gen JP. This corporate culture has been in them from the very beginning.
10:26 The thing with the Michi tax situation is that *Nijisanji could have easily solved it!* Since there are international treaties between Indonesia and Japan, the tax withheld by Niji can easily be redacted. All they needed to do was send her a copy of the relevant treaties and the payment receipts. _And they refused to do even that to help her!_
This leak about the company keeping the money to pay for the "assets" sounds just like what small kpop companies do to their desperate new groups, since claim that since they paid for training and other stuff, all the money the idols earn will stay with the comapny to pay those debts, thus, keeping the members "stuck" with the comapny until the debts are paid, however, the idols never have a glimpe of how much money is involved, they only receive when the company says "Ok, your debts are pais. It looks like this is the modus operandi of those money sucking insects.
I think a better example would've been Momoland. Their song boom boom and baam were promoted everywhere for so many years and they were really insanely popular. But during those 4-5+ years of promoting the group they never "broke even" from the debts they had and barely got paid. Blackpink and Newjeans are one of the few successful groups suffering from completely different issues
The amount of money Sunny 'made' is worse when you consider that she's not getting 100% from her own bundle sales as there are manufacturer costs too, the company she's selling merch with is fairly open about the cut that they take for producing the merch, so the amount Sunny made in Niji is closer to $500
@@GoodOleDFT Yeah, I've been following her, she's been doing well and she's a lot happier in general, she's also been super supportive towards Mogu Ghost, so I hope she is also able to become happier too. As a general aside, this is what confuses me the most about the leaked chat, aside from a very small few, who due to the Black Screen Stream connections, or their own antics (Quinn) the community has shown that they will support those who decide to leave Niji, so them feeling trapped? They really could do better outside. This is why it's so important to support the ex-talents, especially fans who say they love the talents but can't support the company - this is their chance to actually show they mean that and support the talents now they aren't in the company.
I know people are mad at holo right now because of the recent grad announcements. Ive even seen people make niji comparisons. But just watch this video and ask yourself, have we heard a former holo getting treated like former niji has? At most, their complains were about bureaucracy problems that happens in every corp. Which is a problem with holo growing but that's fixable. You can't fix driving a talent to attempt on their life twice.
Hololive is for sure on a path of audience neglect because of the direction they want to go in. People may support the idol motif but it's not what a lot of people signed up for or even stayed for. Talents will leave due to disagreements and poor scheduling and Hololive will become a shell of its former self. It *will* implode if they continue this way. People are just doing their best to ignore it or perhaps they don't realize it at all but the recent graduations aren't the main point of concern people should be discussing. Are they as bad as Nijisanji? You'd have to have a truckload of evidence to even come close to a fraction of that black company's issues. But that doesn't change the fact that Hololive is changing and based on past evidence from this year, this will not be a positive or even a neutral change
Yeah lol the only bad thing anyone knows about holo is that people are leaving. There is a ton of completely mundane reasons you might want to quit your job from life circumstances to a change of direction to just thinking you'll be better off going solo. Heck I've quit my job from a perfectly good company before because I just wanted to do something else. Now is it possible there's issues that holo aught to fix to improve employee retention? Probably. But we don't know what they are and won't know unless anyone decides to publicly air their grievances which I don't see happening. It's kind of wrong imo to just assume the worst; especially when both present and former holo talents are positive about their experiences with the company. Nijisanji though? We don't just suspect they're doing messed up shit, we know they are. The fact that 'A Message from NIJISANJI EN' ever came out (and is still up???) is enough by itself to damn the company.
@@Soulferno See, you can't make that assumption yet. You are taking the PRESENT information you have and making a FUTURE determination; which you cannot do without hard evidence to show that "Hololive is for sure on a path of audience neglect". I really don't think you can make that claim with the present evidence you have. We have multiple mega collabs happening right now with GTA and other games, Holo gearing up for Countdown and FES, multiple mega large concerts looming on the horizon (like Calli's in Hollywood and Suisei's in Budokan), the continuation of Hololive Soar, cross-content making with ID, EN and JP, multiple new covers and original songs, the expansion of Hololive into the EN market with more events in the US like the Dodgers collab and Breaking Dimensions, the merch store expanding to a Los Angeles office, multiple mega sponsorships, like Ina's with Amiami, Korone with Sega and Honda, and more, and 86 / 90 talents staying to see the move/change through. You cannot just look at these graduations without looking at EVERYTHING else that Holo has done this year. Being objective means looking at everything, not just the stuff you cherrypick cause you big sad your oshi is leaving.
If any of the Aussie female talent were sexually harassed by Aster and notified Niji management and they did nothing about it, they would have an easy case with the Fair Work Commission. I think Niji forgets they are dealing with employees and contractors across borders and aren't safe behind the Japanese legal system.
This is true. It's easy to do this in Japan because no one wants to rock the boat and be seen as that person. However, that isn' the case in most over part of the world, particularly in the English speaking ones.
Who can afford to go against a corporation...dont remember at this moment who but one of people who left Niji said that they had reason to sue and in perfect world they would win, but Niji probably would ruin them financially even if the court case was in english speaking country.
Nijisanji doesn't have assets in Australia, Australian government can sue or punish them all they want, but they cannot touch what Niji has in Japan. I think that's part of why they're not setting up offices overseas and invite talents over to Japan for collabs and other work.
@@Veritanky if I'm not mistaken in some places (I believe australia and some states in the US) if you get into a legal battle and win, the loser side has to pay the legal fees to avoid exactly these situations of massive corporations running down smaller corpos or individuals.
Legal Mindset showed a Niji contract. The company has no obligation per the contract, to do anything for the liver at all. it's a modern day indentured servitude/slavery contract.
Hearing Michi explain how a lot of companies in her country would happily hold taxes back from their check so that it was paid was eye opening. So scummy of Kurosanji to not even correct her that they don't do that sort of thing. They just took the money!
I do some research here, apparently Niji told her they would cut some income for tax, it was cut by 10%, which is an income tax for a working foreign partner in JP (if they work in JP soil), the problem here is Mika work in ID soil, and the company didn't even gave the tax code that could be claimed when Mika pay tax (mostly she doesn't know), so Yes, the only possibility here, it was used to pay Niji taxes, instead of the talent income tax, and yes it's scummy... Also apparently Kuro, Enna and Kyo also had problems with their tax.
@@signumxmagnum Yeah, people tend to leave out Enna here since that goes against the whole "clique" narrative but she's gone through a lot of the same shit as the people they liked in that company.
@@joshthefunkdoc I wouldn't say that, because only Mika and Mysta was known to be screwed by N, for Kyo and Enna, I only knew they had tax problem and didn't know whether it's caused by N or not.
Back then, watching Niji ID was fun. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun. And then the merging happened. I watched Taka's stream when he was building Gundam, and he looked like he was holding his tears. At that time I knew something was wrong in the company. And then everyone started leaving one by one.
You know, in the Luca Kaneshiro doc, the OP wrote stuff regarding how Luca allegedly would talk about the weird stuff Aster would do and how the girls would complain to Luca about Aster's alleged sexpest behavior and I guess the Nijisisters were too busy hating on OP that no one ever bothered looking into the Aster stuff. So to see an actual talent come share their story, I'm wondering if more female talents would come forward in the near future.
I remember at the time even Niji antis saw him as a lesser evil to Luca or even other controversial livers like Elira but IF all the leaks are real… yikes… still will avoid judgement until the leak is proven true but… yah it’s looking concerning
I remember at the time I connected the dots that Raziel was talking about Aster since it lined up with the *sigh* messages to Scarle but I didn't even expect it to be this bad, Nijisanji is the definition of it getting worse after you think it's hit rock-bottom.
Tbh if Luca stuff was just ignored with all breach of contract he did (when female members would have been removed if they did evenone of what he did) - no way that Aster being a pest would really influence anything in Niji. They will just ignore that like with Luca.
@@plundypops I heard Mint followed Mogu on the bird app after she left so there might be a chance... (Take that with a grain of salt tho, i don't use the bird app... Just heard this from somewhere)
I think Doki striking out on her own and accomplishing so much and bringing so many of her dreams to fruition has inspired others into believing that it's time for them to cast off their irons and spread their own wings. Doki (and many other popular indies) are living proof that if you put in enough work, you don't need a company to be successful. You just need yourself and a bit of elbow grease.
Some more context on Michi's experience, mostly from the same conversation that False clipped but also skipped. The full conversation is clipped here: "Michi was too burntout when working for another company" starting at around 25:10. She admits to being scared of being replaced so was chasing numbers in hopes of getting noticed by management, but there's another reason which she talked about after that: After complaining during a meeting about working so hard without getting anything in return she was told that she was the only reason why things in the branch were not worse. As the best earner she was keeping them all afloat. So then she worked even harder, neglecting not only her friends / branchmates, she also neglected her other friends, family, and her personal health to try to stop things from getting worse. She wasn't able to explain herself when people got mad at her for it because she was under NDA and couldn't, even with her coworkers, so she just accepted her role as a villain. 40:04 "Let's say your landlord pulls you in and says, 'If you do not clean the whole apartment every single day, the apartment will be demolished. There's a chance that someone of power is going to look at the apartment and completely demolish it. No pressure.' But I care about people in the apartment. 'I will make sure you can't even find a speck of dust when you enter the vicinity of the apartment.' That's the kind of mentality I was in." Then the play button story happened which was her breaking point. And similar to Victoria Brightshield, she clarified that her personal issues are not with her former managers or coworkers, they are with "the dungeon master." She even explained in another stream that when she told her management that she was going to graduate they pulled strings to make sure she left on as good of terms as possible. "We know you're gonna do great things, whatever it is. We're proud of you, and we're always gonna support you."
While the stuff Doki went through was bad and what made me follow this stuff, and all of the other things I've heard from former talents is really sad and frustrating to hear even to an outsider to vtubing, I think the things said by Michi are the most illuminating about _how_ things seem to be run at Niji. Specifically it sounds like there's basically no mid-level management, and no support staff you'd expect a talent agency to have, even the legal side seems to be non-extant.
Huge work, well done Rima! I really can't get over how Pomu got denied a lifetime opportunity of collab with her beloved franchise, it's heartrending hearing her cry... At least Minki is now in a good spot that sweet, adorable ghost 💚
Knowing Scarle is still there means the horrifying things are still happening to her the gaslighting, the lying, the abuse, financially and mentally, the mean girl group bullying and more
If Scarle ever graduates from the corpo, part of me would feel more relieved than sad considering the experiences of Doki, Mint, K9Kuro, Michi, Matara, Sunny, Mogu, and Quinn.
But Scarlet has said already that she's isn't leaving tho? That she already has plans ahead what she wants to do & just recently they already announced a ILuna's 3D? Starting with her actually That question tho??
As always, the professionalism in these mini-documentaries is on point. Facts are researched, sources are consulted and shown, and a balanced outlook is displayed. Well done, Rima 👏
Niji: We can excuse livers doing sexual harassment on their co-workers, but uploading music videos without our go-ahead is where we draw the line. Ex-Niji fans: You can excuse sexual harassment?!!
Can't wait to see Nijisisters redirect the issues as being the "haters", or better yet, say that Hololive/Cover is just as bad (it really isn't, not even close).
Also, we Hololive fans like to have management be held accountable. Whereas the Niji-freaks love redirecting any criticism of their ever-so-beloved billion-dollar corporate nightmare house of terrors. They'll claim it's all just false allegations, and not actual firsthand accounts of the livers. The livers don't have anything to gain from lying and shitting ON THEIR CURRENT/FORMER BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. Such a lack of human compassion.
that liver talking about how they had to delete their past channel, makes me wonder if it's Aia. Practically all of Aia's content pre-niji was erased from the internet after all.
In Kurosanji mines, Parrot4chan is the canary and Rima is the miner 🐦⛏ There's no horsing around when there's work to be done 💀 That being said, there's no way I'll want to support Kurosanji. Zaion was my first and last straw, everyone else lining up after her (after some time) only proved my suspicions. Kurosanji has been burning on the EN side for who knows how long and the fire has not been put out. They're building new things in hopes of "building faster than the flames can catch up" but just imagine what happens to the people left behind in the wake of that fire. If successful Vtubers said the pay was dogshit, what happens to Vtubers who aren't even popular? Well, Vivi and Kunai happen. Two very bright gems that get buried under a ton of shit and its the company that expects of them to dig themselves up, polish themselves and if they succeed, profit the majority from their success while giving them peanuts and squeezing every ounce of creativity they have before they eventually quit. I don't want to watch Kurosanji because i know that even if I want to support my oshis, I am basically lining the pockets of the assholes at the top. If I'm forced to choose a side, I choose to let it all burn down and not provide Kurosanji with a choice to continue their operations as is. This full on black company behavior is cannibalizing their talents - I will not stand for it. I am well aware that some of the talents might chose not to return for various reasons as indies (if things go down for EN) but that's in my opinion, the lesser evil than having them live in a reality of a stockholm syndrome victim and giving them all the excuses to stay and suffer.
Even though I knew most of all these small events already, being remined of all of them at same time in addition to Rima's analyse shocked me once again. It really is a black company...
I got into vtubers cause of Pomu playing MSG it brought back childhood memories watching someone learn about all the lore and fall in love with the franchise…Cali is cool but Pomu deserved that collab
If I'm remembering right, Calli said she wasn't the first choice. I think we can all guess who actually was. I'm taking comfort in that. Management failed Pomu, and it's heartbreaking.
Great video once again! All this + Sayu experience and the try to make her firm a silence contract makes an overall worrying situation for this company.
@@richardbrooksshnee, on one. It was before she left Niji for good. Now, Sunny does provide updates on how Mogu's doing almost every stream, so...she is doing fine👌
There's definitely a few more leaks we could throw in here but This is a vast coverage. A grand majority of the more testimony-almost stuff. (edited this line and added space below - The video is still great coverage.) There was Numbers breathing down Yugo's slack/DMs There was the expose from Raziel, which also pointed the same accusation to Aster - Many women, And there was another person also vouching for it, that was seemingly one of the other Talents. Whether it was the Talent from the leaks here, remains to be seen. OH.. and I guess the contract too!, and the what was essentially the silencing contract. Top of my head is being clouded by others that align with part said or diverge into less verifiable so we'll leave it at that.
Honestly, when I saw this I thought this will talk not only about how Niji as a company is but also make fun of the remaining livers that really have no other choice at the moment but to stay there. I will admit that I still watch some of their livers because one of them is the reason why I got into vtubers, and had been a great help to me when I was in a very dark place. I hope more channels can be like you who don't hate the remaining livers in Niji just because they chose to stay. Great vid! Please don't change!
Nijisanji has the red flags of an abusive expoitative spouse: forces you to leave behind old friends/social media to isolate you, promises they’ll take your earnings and take care of finances , gaslights you by being unresponsive or flatout sayin “Its just you”, and kicks your shin under the table if you say anything they dont like when guests are over. Even with their resources, I see ZERO benefit to work for them when you can just do it yourself and get 100% prifit for less stress and more control. The fact they’re forcing streamers to pay out if pocket for a debut is all I need to say fuck em
Re: Hex's income - depending on where you live in America, $70-$100k may not go as far as people think. That $32k average income is extremely misleading, since you can get a studio apartment for $400/month in some rural areas, while in larger cities like New York, LA, or San Francisco you'll be lucky to find a studio apartment under $3,000 a month.
I'm hoping Scarle can find a better place to work than Niji. She's being emotionally abused and manipulated there. Also, some people were hating on Doki just for being transparent. What's wrong with some people? They took her transparency about the SF tournament as her gloating about the power and influence she had or some silliness.
To me seeing how generally happy everyone who has leave Niji and how well they are all doing make me happy for them yet wonder why they couldn't get anything from Niji. Also swear Michi mentioned this but even she can see how more happier she is when she rewatch her older content and saw how through her own voice how died she sounded.
At this point in time, it's FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too late for Nijisanji to make apologies or any kind of comeback. 200% far too late for them now, lost cause within a lost cause INSIDE ANOTHER lost cause
niji lucky the oshis taught their fanbases kindness or there be nothing but crashout activity im happy they all growing and are support so well. great vid as usual too
It's sad that Michi *still* feels that... "Bethany"... Does not deserve those things. Bethany is the *only one* that earned them. She is the one who deserves them, not some God damn office wall.
It's like every time I'm almost over the Nijisanji drama, when I'm starting to treat it more like a joke and a meme, it's just at that time when something happens that breaks my soul and I realize that yes, I can dislike Nijisanji even more. That message from Victoria was so heartbreaking, she really sounded so utterly broken and chewed up... I can only hope she will find the appreciation she deserves the second she can.
@epicthecandydragon6079 I'm pretty sure shit would have been leaked by now. Nijisanji was already distrustful even before this year. This year just broke the camels back.
the fact that doki was nominated for vtuber of the year (vtuber awards) and then streamer of the year (streamer awards) and vshoujo has a event nominated which they contain 3 ex-niji member. i think once a member graduates they do much better off.
I am very sad there are people feeling locked in and struggling, but I _refuse_ to fuel this beast. Every dollar spent, every minute watched normalizes this behavior and justifies it to Anycolor. Please, whoever you are, don't fall for the traps and sweet words of the management. If you're not earning enough money to sustain yourself and your debts, look for another job. Do not perpetuate this tyranny.
Thank god this video came out to put into perspective how bad Hololive could be if Hololive was a black company. It is a good reminder that Hololive is a pretty damn good company all thing's considered. EVEN WITH the problems they are currently facing, I'd much rather have Hololive as my company rather than Nijisanji lol. And tbh, I think Hololive's fine. Every company loses people.
Great work as usual Rima. I think the fact that you waited until the fires have somewhat subsided as far as Niji yabs are concerned makes this a more tempered take on the situation, rather than a knee-jerk response to farm views. Thank you.
Honestly as a long time vtuber fan all this is just genuinely sad to see. I've liked so many livers from many different companies and just seeing how all these situations have been developing is so sad to see, and toxic fans/shady companies keep making it worse. hopefully the storm passes and vtubers who are unhappy with their current situations can have some peace :(
@@TheBasedDonHolyCant believe anything Niji does or says. Like how Yugo was a guy but Unnämed is non-binary or how Uki also is a guy in Niji but before that and back in Hanamori was TransFem. And Hana is a girl in Niji while IRL being TransMale. Who knows who really is gay or not but we know the company has no hesitation to queerbait and give false genders.
@richardbrooksshnee I don't think Uki is faking his gayness. He wears it on his sleeve. Aster always gave me "bisexual with male preference" vibes, but also like what he did with his co-workers was very much performative fujo-bait
You know, when the contracts from Niji first leaked, and that disclaimer about them not being affiliated with criminal enterprises was in there, I thought that was weirdly suspect. Turns out that they’re not affiliated with criminal enterprises; they ARE the criminal enterprise. I pray that the talents who aren’t a part of the clique are able to get out of there, and find more success as indies. And that the clique gets everything that’s coming to them and more.
I wonder if the dude that got ejected in record time had to do with how Japan facing it was. It seems from the outside that the corporate attitude to branches outside of Japan is fuck it we ball
I hate to say this, but as fans, there's really nothing that we can do to support the talents at Niji, without supporting Niji itself. If we try to support the livers, Niji will swoop in and take the majority of the money while leaving them crumbs. The only thing we can really do is give the livers emotional support in the regular chat, and even that still supports Niji. That's why I hate to say that the only way to stop supporting Niji, is to completely cut anything Niji out of your life.
It surprises me that there isn't more on Aster. And just how many people support him cause he's just a soft boy esthetic. In his PL, he literally lost all of his friends for being a piece of shit. He even admitted it himself on his PL, making a video on it. And looks like he didn't change. He always felt off to me, same with Ike and Vox. And I'm glad I never supported them for long.
After the Doki/Selen I will never support Niji again, however I will always support those who break free of their toxic sphere. I truly hope Mogu(Victoria) chooses to steam again as she kind and talented, she deserved so much more then the treatment she got under Niji.
They could turn it around, it wouldn't even be that hard but they flat out refuse to take even a baby step in that direction. I am not even sure why as you can't even use greed as an excuse anymore as this is costing them a lot so its either pride preventing them from admitting fault or the same work culture that got them into this mess is preventing them from making any changes that would lead them out of it.
The hard part is fixing the mediocre CEO at the top. An evil, dumb, and petty person like that will never grow into anything better, and a business with someone like that at the top will continue to be stunted and corroded by their poisonous leadership until it implodes at some point. And, if by some miracle, such a CEO finally ceases to have power and control over the business for some reason without the business dying, then there's high chance that another equally-horrible leader fails upward and takes their place anyway. The entire system is flawed. Not just in Niji, but everywhere. It's the bad future we live in.
Nijisanji's C-suite really doesn't care about its talents. It only cares about money/profits and its face value (how it looks to fans and market). Its talents, to C-Suite, are nothing but replaceable puppets once either the fans and/or the company gets tired of them. Oh, and that doesn't even touch that they'll break the law (exhibit Infamous Black Video).
Niji also manipulates and gaslights the talents they do have telling them their achievements are the company’s not theirs. They also tell them that they are worthless without the company and will never be popular again if they leave.
While none of the favoritism stuff has ever been 100% proven, the amount of evidence supporting it suggests there is something else motivating Niji's actions even more than greed since some of their lower earners seem to be favored more over others bringing in more money than them (so they seem to care more about loyalty or obedience than the bottom line). Also if money was the only factor in their decisions they surely would have made a serious attempt to fix the Niji EN situation but instead they seem to be trying to just ignore it in the hopes it goes away.
She's mogughost, she hasn't released any new content, but she been slowly getting more and more active on Twitter, talking about her day, asking how things are going, a happy Thanksgiving message, and retweeting and replying to a lot of fanart. And she's been playing games off stream with sunny too!
But topic at hand aside, your documentary format has really improved, Rima. Sounding professional and factual, without much bloat or over dramatic. Great progress ❤
With all the information about how awful Niji is put together in this video really makes me wonder how can an individual really defend them (mostly the EN branch) and act as if they were the victims
They decided awhile ago that anyone badmouthing their favorite company was lying. All the new people coming forward supporting the allegations aren't chances to reevaluate, they are just another tick box in the traitor category and dismissed with no thought. The sunk cost fallacy is probably at play as well except instead of money its all the time and effort they have put in to supporting Niji and attacking its "enemies" (I still remember when the Selen stuff came out so many were blaming it on holobros), they just can't admit even to themselves that they were in the wrong.
This is what happens when they hire literal high schoolers as talent managers, so they can under pay them as well. Shockingly, a lot of mistakes and little to no effort or professionalism. All to save the equivalent of pennies for an organisation of their size. It feels like once companies reach a certain size more and more investors who know less and less about the industry get involved. The decisions get more and more short sighted and veterans are considered less valuable/more replaceable.
There are pros and cons to being a corpo or indie vtuber. What many people dont realize, the cons of being a corpo vtuber is bigger than thr cons of being an indie. You also dont see it either until issues arises.
Really starting to get reality TV vibes the more I hear about Niji. Other companies aren't completely clean, but things that come out from those are devastating, Niji on the other hand, feel like just lack of common sense from the show runners.

Crazy also that big groups like new jeans and black pink are also splitting

Blackpink and Newjeans are one of the few successful groups suffering from completely different issues
The amount of money Sunny 'made' is worse when you consider that she's not getting 100% from her own bundle sales as there are manufacturer costs too, the company she's selling merch with is fairly open about the cut that they take for producing the merch, so the amount Sunny made in Niji is closer to $500

They really could do better outside.

People are outright calling Hololive a black company unironically because of the graduations.
@@CJODell12 its f'ing stupid.
To add to this. There’s a leak from someone that corroborated Aster sexual harassment behavior. With a little digging someone could guess

'I will make sure you can't even find a speck of dust when you enter the vicinity of the apartment.' That's the kind of mentality I was in."
Then the play button story happened which was her breaking point.
And Sunny said they made her pretend to have father.
I get a feeling they will keep releasing more and more banger all the way to new year

Every company loses people.
the outtakes in the credits are so endearing
Great work as usual Rima. I think the fact that you waited until the fires have somewhat subsided as far as Niji yabs are concerned makes this a more tempered take on the situation, rather than a knee-jerk response to farm views. Thank you.
7:59 hot damn, I made twice as much by working for minimum wage for a year and barely getting scheduled for shifts...
Honestly as a long time vtuber fan all this is just genuinely sad to see. I've liked so many livers from many different companies and just seeing how all these situations have been developing is so sad to see, and toxic fans/shady companies keep making it worse. hopefully the storm passes and vtubers who are unhappy with their current situations can have some peace :(
Nijisanji covering for Aster sexually harassing girls is insane.
I always thought that Aster was gay like Uki.
@@TheBasedDonHoly I think he is just a femboy
@@TheBasedDonHolyI'm convinced they're both faux gay for pay.
@richardbrooksshnee I don't think Uki is faking his gayness. He wears it on his sleeve. Aster always gave me "bisexual with male preference" vibes, but also like what he did with his co-workers was very much performative fujo-bait
Another great and well researched Video!
Tysm 💜💜
Thx for the video, Rima!
Sure thing!
@@rimaevenstar :)
MANNNN I feel your pain when you have to retake parts and you've done it so many times now so you just wanna take a breather XD
It makes me happy when the anti consumer and anti employee practices come to bite companies in the butt
I mean some still have pls available, but it's not much, a not the same
Thank you for the video!
Like always, a great video Rima

I don't even know if this company can be salvaged, its only way is "down" 🔥
They could turn it around, it wouldn't even be that hard but they flat out refuse to take even a baby step in that direction.
Also if money was the only factor in their decisions they surely would have made a serious attempt to fix the Niji EN situation but instead they seem to be trying to just ignore it in the hopes it goes away.
when charlie makes a video about it you know its insane
Back to niji mines 😂😂😂
Plz no more 😭
Holo mines?
@@f1r3hunt3rz5 nah, Holo is fine.
It might be cute to see Rima in a miner-dwarf outfit. The question is whether Rima would braid her beard or let grow loose.
@@f1r3hunt3rz5there no evidence holo mines exist.. it's just baseless assumption.
Good management makes a huge difference.
W! So long Nijisanji
What is a shame, because they have many nice JP livers, but unfortunately their president is a brat who let money fck his brain.
Vivi really needs free air to breathe. She seems very genuine, and if she ever resurfaces outside of the black company, I think she will thrive.
She's mogughost, she hasn't released any new content, but she been slowly getting more and more active on Twitter, talking about her day, asking how things are going, a happy Thanksgiving message, and retweeting and replying to a lot of fanart. And she's been playing games off stream with sunny too!
@2077words I actually didn't know this, tysm!
Yeah! When vivi debuted I loved her but then fell out of Vtubing for a while. I hope she’ll be doing better
Nijisisters exist for that sole reason
They decided awhile ago that anyone badmouthing their favorite company was lying. All the new people coming forward supporting the allegations aren't chances to reevaluate, they are just another tick box in the traitor category and dismissed with no thought. The sunk cost fallacy is probably at play as well except instead of money its all the time and effort they have put in to supporting Niji and attacking its "enemies" (I still remember when the Selen stuff came out so many were blaming it on holobros), they just can't admit even to themselves that they were in the wrong.
Nijisisters are fans of the company, not the talents.
@@NuchiAsakino fucking clue how they become a fan of a company. This is a new level of simping to the weirdest level never thought possible.
Thank you for the vid, Rima! The hard work you put into these really shows.
The decisions get more and more short sighted and veterans are considered less valuable/more replaceable.
another banger! great work Rima
There are pros and cons to being a corpo or indie vtuber.
What many people dont realize, the cons of being a corpo vtuber is bigger than thr cons of being an indie.
You also dont see it either until issues arises.
Good work out there, Rima!
looooove the bloopers at the end as always hahaha
Your new mobile looks great. I almost didn't recognize you. Love the old model too.
Also that smoke alarm scared me lol.
Hope youtube pays you hansomely because they stuffed 14 ads down mh throat
14?! Damn
@silvialuzmia every 8 or so minutes 2 at a time and there was a 3 minutes unskipable one
My trusted vtuber documentary 🤓👍
Another good video! It took a while for there to be this much info but, ya got it Rima!
I thought for a momment there will be no bloopers, thanks again for a great video.
Really starting to get reality TV vibes the more I hear about Niji. Other companies aren't completely clean, but things that come out from those are devastating, Niji on the other hand, feel like just lack of common sense from the show runners.
0:20 the audio is really unclear here Rima if some fixes can be made it would be appreciated!
Yknow, i used to be a really big Arcadian, but i eventually kinda fell off of watching Aster. Smth abt him just kinda started feeling a bit weird & offputting to me but i couldn't put my finger on it & just decided it was probably just that the vibes were different than debut days now that he knew his sex appeal could pull money
It's so stupid to me that the talent can even talk about having worked for Niji or their former names. That's so incredibly stupid, and I HIGHLY doubt that would hold up in a North American courtroom combined with all the other crap. I really hate how everybody has to dance around a major portion of their lives and police their words.
Crunchyroll to Nijisanji: "We like the way you do business! Wanna be partners??"
SelenGate, LMAO. Who knew black company is 1 bad day away from opening the gates of hell on themselves.
