      It is more important to make your own luck by working smart. Each piece of rope and bucket he brings down with him saves him 1 climb. Imagine being able to double your production with 500ft of rope and 10-20 extra buckets because you are only climbing up the winze ONCE instead of 20 times. Same goes for everything you do. we mine profitably at 1/4 gr a ton and if he can't profit at 6 gr he is less than 1/32 as efficient.
      PS. Even Congolese miners know how to make a pulley from 3 sticks and a rope to lift their buckets more easily.

      @@excitedbox5705 Volume vs grade. Guess we're fortunate to live in a part of the world where gold is two orders of magnitude (100 times) more abundant than the global average.

    • @TheGoldmansChannel

      Turning a profit in my case is very dependant on my throughput. I can crush 500-1000kg a day if I run the plant flat out. So 1/4g/t is out of the question in this case. But you are correct, making my own luck by working smart is essential and I've definitely got plenty of areas I can improve on my efficiencies.

    Thanks for sharing your videos with us fellow hard rock prospectors, I have recently filed for a hard rock mining claim in the Southern California desert. I enjoy watching how other people prospect for gold and process that on a small scale, and I am really impressed with what you have done with you plant.

    Love it great stuff. That sluice needs major overall. Personally I would mix up the mats with miners moss and a combination of others. Then re run some tailings for test. Then again if I was in your position. I would say stuff it. Collect as many bath tubs you can handle. Turn each bath tub into a mini leach vat, I have a gut feeling the end result will be much better. Its just a thought, keep it up.

      I havent delt much with Hydaulic riffles in all honesty Dodgy Goose. Wilfely tables are the bees knees as far as hard rock gravity separation goes. Until I get this table up and running it's no big deal to leave some gold in the tailings. It's all got to be run back through at a later date anyway. 😁

    Hey bryan great vid mate that home made jaw crusher works a treat, not sure bout the micro dream mat on the crusher maybe the mini cells would work a bit better, although maybe fake turf with a lower profile expanded mesh might get a better recovery. Good to see you know how to tie a bow line an running bow line👍as they say if u carnt tie knots tie lots.

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks Eck! I always look forward to your comments.
      100% the mini cell would be better. I've experimented with the micro cell quite a bit now, very handy for fine alluvial gold clean ups. A slow feed leaves you with almost no excess black sand. But it's terrible on the crushing plant. I honestly don't believe the cells are big enough to work effectively at all. I thought dirty water was an issue to begin with, but clean water is the same. It just doesn't work! Will try a mini cell next. Everyone should know how to tie a bowline! Essential 👌👌👌

      Thanks big chief, based on our old historical mining bible for this area most small shows would have needed 2 Oz stone or better. Good sized companies were always happy with ounce stone. why still use mercury?

    • @TheGoldmansChannel
      @TheGoldmansChannel  2 роки тому +1

      Good question. I understand that environmentally it has a pretty bad wrap. But it's a very useful tool for this process and isn't dangerous toward myself or the environment in the way I use it. I've got nearly a kg of it, but have been recycling the same 10g blob of mercury for a couple of years now. Done correctly, you lose almost nothing. Even after so many uses. They were sloppy with it back in the day, that's why it was such an issue. Quite a bit of my mercury stash has come from creeks, so I'm certain I've done more justice than harm also 😁
