Oooo, lovely! Welcome to Cornwall! I lived in Falmouth for a few years and it is indeed a fantastic little town. Sorry about the parking fines ... I would ignore them until they go away, unless it's a council fine. We live up in Whitsand Bay back up at the 'top end' of Cornwall. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend the area. Insane beaches and not touristy at all. Enjoy the rest of your time here, it is a very special part of the country.
Thanks for the tour around the Eden Project, saves me spending all that money going in! Looks amazing and I'll definitely go one day. Lovely video again guys 💚
Hiya to ya both.. sorry to hear about your parking issues.. they really trying to crack down on people moving around.. beautiful video again.. if you love that kind of climate and vegetation you should come to South Africa. The view from the top of that dome looks like the aerial view of my wild garden .. the bird life here is amazing with all the fruit and berry trees..we have seasonal birds 😄.. keep on trucking, happy travels Happy Days 🎉✨💚🚚🕊️
My local shopping centre has a camera system which tried to fine me for parking for 16 hours overnight. I hadn't parked overnight, the camera hadn't seen me coming out for some reason. I appealed and they rejected it, I tried ringing them but couldn't get through, so I told them I wouldn't pay it! That was around 3/4 years ago and they never did anything.
I have to say that every private parking fine I have ever received (about 6 in my lifetime) has always been one of those situations where, if you ignore it, it does go away, eventually..... They would spend more trying to enforce it than they'd get from you paying so, they really do just try it on! That said... It's easy for me to say sat here now and, I understand not everyone feels comfortable ignoring being harassed with threatening letters. I hope you get it sorted, in a way that you feel satisfied 😊
Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery- just fantastic towns and beaches. Glad you are having fun along the way. I think it is so wonderful how you both cook and share your meals with us.
I remember visiting the monkey sanctuary a few years back. Especially "Charlie " . He was kept in a bedroom for a decade, and fed nothing but junk food. He was so badly nourished that he wasn't recognisable as one of his own species. The poor little soul. The person responsible even escaped jail. An absolute travesty.
So sorry about the parking, hope you can sort it out. We got married in the Eden Project, soon after it opened, nearly 21 years ago! Soooooo expensive to get in now. Say hello if you are in Tintagel area. Make sure you visit Vega in Tintagel and Buddhas Kitchen in Launceston, great vegan cafes. Love the Monkey Sanctuary. Wonderful video, as ever, thank you.
Your really are living the life, the Van Life. Really great vlog. The Eden Project, now that was so cool. Thanks so much for sharing, extremely interesting. Great editing by the way.
The Eden project is expensive but you can return within a year for free but only one extra visit within that year. Ive been 4 times & there's always something new to see.
*Pauses video to go and buy sparkling water for recently purchased Air Up* Great video as always. Looking forward to Sunday's installment. Watching your videos is our version of crack now..cheers. 😘
Another good one Liam and Janine, You both make me feel like I travelling from place to place in my armchair lol. Thank you. And it is cheaper than those parking fines, enough to put people off from visiting the area.. The staff at monkey sanctuary seemed more than happy to stay and show you round, you can tell when people really passionate about their jobs and proud of what they do. Michelle x
Thank you Michelle, the person who ran it at the sanctuary knew we were coming, and knew we wanted to provide exposure for the sanctuary on our channels 😀
Loved this video! we've been down to Devon/Cornwall for the past 14 years. We keep planning to go to the Eden Project, but get side tracked as there are so many attractions in that part of the uk.
Cornwall looks amazing we’re going Brixham in Devon next month hopefully it’s just as beautiful, Great vid again guys stay safe and well and happy camping👍🏻
Brixham is also gorgeous. Probably there are the usual narrow roads and if you’re not willing to have a hedge scraping the side of your vehicle - a lot of places will be difficult to get to. Some small vans and lorries seem to use some of these back lanes to avoid traffic - or at least they did when we lived in Devon and there is no choice for anyone however small their car but to basically pull right into the hedge. Passing places can be rare and I certainly wouldn’t fancy reversing 2 miles down a winding country road to find somewhere else to park. Usually the lorries drivers are on a schedule and are unlikely to wait for you to do that. If you can afford an electric bike, scooter or something similar that would help.
Absolutely wonderful vlog , parking is a nightmare so be careful in Cornwall I got bitten a few times there . Cornwall is my most favourite place in the uk ! Can’t wait to see your next one x
In one of those car parks, cover over your license plates front and back before entering , some people just put bags over them but you could keep some blue tack and cardboard ready. Just remember to remove after exiting the car park!
We had the same thing. Sent us a photo of us entering the carpark, but couldn't supply a photo of leaving? So I asked for the calibration of the clicking and video system and how many times where they calibrated . They never replied and we didn't pay .
Another lovely video, despite the parking issue you sound li!e you still had great fun onwards and downwards into Cornwall. Didn't think to use lentils for a chilli, loving the goodie tips xoxox
Hello guys it was such a nice thing to see you having such a nice time in Cornwall and at the Eden Project I used to volunteer Eden picking up the litter unfortunately people yes they do chat rubbish down still even though it's an eco-friendly place unfortunately since covid-19 I haven't been back to Eden but hoping to go out soon really nice of you to go down there there and support the local area. Cornwall definitely depends on people like yourselves coming down from upwards. Enjoy your trip around the UK and be safe take care.
Thank you for creating such inspirational content here. It's truly inspiring to watch your journey and how you handle the obstacles of van life. And inspiring many of us to go after our goals and dreams.
We visit cornwall twice a year, usally staying near looe, and bearing in mind i only drive a kia, every visit she acquires new scratch on those narrow lanes, so massive kudos for doing it in Morgan! those cameras catch so many out :(, rediculous xx
What a perfect video, Janine and Liam. 10/10 There was just something special about it. Hope you manage to have at least some of the fines waived. Young Banjo 🐕 and I are pet sitting in a beach house between Wollongong and Sydney. A long way from Melbourne. If you are ever back in Oz, come and stay with us. Jeffrey
My in-laws live in Looe, our kids have wonderful memories of summer holidays on the beech in Looe, especially as we live in the Lake District ( completely different landscape).
I got caught out by a AMPR carpark in Falmouth. The pay machine wasn’t working and as you have to pay when you leave there’s nothing you can do. If you phone the number on the sign it doesn’t go through to anyone.
Yes we have these crazy parking rules in our area, it's so maddening and it's pushing visitors away from the lovely locations we have in the North East.
Fair play to you for pointing out the ANPR Scam, that camera sign is so ambiguous that unless you know exactly what it means you wouldn't have any idea what it meant 🤔🤬🙄 looking forward to Sunday and your next adventure 🤗
Thank you for such wonderful videos I’d love to travel around U.K. and it’s been hugely useful, picking out areas for future trips! Hello from Aberdeen Scotland ❤️

Excellent! So much stuff in one video. Both the monkey sanctuary and the Eden Project are definitely on my list of places I would like to visit, and I don't blame you for being cheesed off with the parking vultures!
Oh WoW! what a great upload. I'm new subscriber just from this one upload. Very very interesting. Thank you for the news regarding rip-off parking. Fabulous channel and I'm going to binge watch the rest. Have a lovely weekend. Kindest of regards from Richard.
Hard fact in Cornwall there are now FAR too many motorhomes/van lifers rocking up than can be catered for. (Especially out here on the Lizard.) The other problem is the hooligan element due to past bad and current bad behaviour is getting people who live here VERY angry. I have just got back from a short shopping trip to the next village and the roads are jammed with motorhomes/van lifers. There is just nowhere for those numbers to park overnight.
Very true. I also find that in the UK motorhomes and the cars that haul caravans are very underpowered. 140hp in a giant van for example. It makes for some very long delays when stuck behind them going up hills. Here in the US it isn't a problem 1. Because this country is massive and 2 because caravans are hauled by big trucks and motorhomes either have v8 or v6 engines with a lot of horse power. Devon and Cornwall are amongst the most beautiful places in the world and as such are over congested in the summer season. Throw in caravans and motorhomes and it becomes a nightmare. For the holiday maker it's only a week or so of traffic issue but for the locals it's 4 months of issues. I would imagine that gets very tedious.
Fabulous video again. Keep it up. It's absolutely scandalous the way these parking companies work. On a different note, we will be in Cornwall in the last two weeks of August ( can't wait), with family, stopping at a campsite next to Newquay. Would love to go and see the Eden project but you can't take dogs. Enjoy your travels.
You can take dogs into the Eden project just not in the domes.not great if there are just two of you wanting to go in together but we have luckily been able to do this as a family and take turns going inside. Dog enjoys sitting outside with one of us xx
@@ThoseHappyDays I’d second monkey world, it’s near wareham in Dorset and there’s a tank museum near it. I absolutely love it in monkey world. It’s run by Alison Cronin and her husband Jim Cronin before his death, they are so knowledgeable about primates and rescue them from all over the world. You get to read about the characters the apes have. Humans need to remember that we don’t “own” these magnificent creatures.
Iv been to monkey world. They were on TV for many years. The Edan project is amazing too. Loved both. It was a long time ago about 11 or 12 years. Loved the video. I forgot it was Wednesday xx
There have been horror stories recently in the newspapers where parking fine appeals have failed and eventually court orders have been issued to confiscate the Vehicles! It is not good advice to ignore demanding letters from these people. My sincere advice is to pay up, learn from these experiences, absolutely PAY within 10 minutes of park entry without fail and where possible completely avoid these sites. Join the Camping & Caravan nine club of Great Britain which will give you discounted access to not only their official club sites but also the thousands of hideaway sites (five units or less) right across the British Isles. Just my experiences and suggestion but these NPRC parks are a license to print money - OUR MONEY! Aside from this, what a brilliant vid this week. Well thought out, well done and well good. ROD UK
Hello they cannot confiscate your vehicle, that is just a made up story, having no tax and insurance whilst on a public road MAY slow for action to be taken, no Court would allow a vehicle to be taken in leu of a fine . So much miss information.
I can't believe how much adventure you packed into one video! The monkeys, the domes, the beach. And to top it all off in the company of friends was just awesome, wish I could've joined you! 😊 🌻
Outrageous fines for a brief 10 minutes. So unfortuante. You most definitely are sharing something that all van lifers should be aware of whether in the UK or in the USA. Thank you for your honest reviews each and every time. I live in Maryland and so enjoying such a lovely and caring couple. We are all living through your experiences. I recall one such that you would not accept donation to fix Morgan, which we love. But instead direct to homeless shelters and organizations such as that. Not sure of your faith but you are saints in the making and so appreciate you both.
Hi, loving the channel and have followed you for ages. Keep up the great content. I've just noticed recently there are more and more plugs and ads creeping in. If it's not square space then it's this air up stuff. Any chance of keeping the ads a bit shorter? We do enjoy watch g your channel and adventures though!
Yay! Beautiful Cornwall! You could have parked down with us had you still had Freda! We are down a tight narrow lane 15 minutes from Falmouth! ❤️🐚 blessings to you and safe travels x
Hi So sorry to hear about your fine, the government have Slipped so many laws through under the radar to try and restrict wild camping in your vehicle. I guess the bottom line is the government want you to be beholden to them they don’t want you to be self-sufficient it’s all about money and power . I hope you manage to appeal it . Really appreciating the two videos a week I look forward to them so much xx❤️
No, this is something Gov't have actually improved, parking used to be a complete free-for-all with people getting billed ridiculous amounts but they did put some rules down (Thatcher I think, not sure) Recently the rules have been getting lax though & the "guidelines" completely suspended this February. You should complain to your MP, do it in writing & do it frequently.
firstly, it's not a fine it's an invoice. there'll be loads of advice online about not paying. but this could potentially end up with you getting court judgements against you. your best course is to appeal, but having gone down this route myself in the past, despite me having medical grounds for an overstay it got nowhere.
Over the last 20 years I've had over 15 of these invoices and i bin the letters every single time , take seconds to do, it costs nothing and no care is given. my credit is triple A , ruthless scammers should be treated with same contempt they show you , if you get a court summons then that's different I'd probably pay up at that point just to preserve my credit rating, but it's a massive IF
@@intheyear2510 I agree that these companies are terrible, with little regard for personal circumstances (trust me, I know) but unfortunately that's life these days - we're getting shafted from all directions. A few years back I'd have also agreed with your advice and just bin any letters. But now though these companies seem to be getting (your word) ruthless in chasing their debts after winning a landmark court decision over their reasonableness a couple of years back. Add in a hit on income from covid and they're now doubly keen. You could take the risk and only act on getting a court letter, but by then you've usually got extra costs plus court costs to pay - it's just not worth the risk. Pay the fee to use the car park (no matter how unjustifiable it seems) or just don't use it.
@@duringthemeanwhilst well each to their own , i dont pay them and my credit is perfect , i pay the council ones but not these invoices, the county court system would collapse under the load if everyone got taken to court, think about it, they rely heavily on this idea that you will get a ccj the reality is you won't, you could but its unlikely
Hi Liam shame over the fine. your right big brother watching more than ever now, Yes Paignton as a lovely beach and just around corner there is Preston sands, Great video guys,
We are in Cornwall at the moment, been to all the places you are visiting. Today we on the Scillonian on are way to the isle of scilly. We parked up last night, on ferry now, only a day trip. From feedback we are getting its a great one day trip to see the island. Regards the parking if you enter by mistake I believe there's a 10 minute window to leave without getting fined. Love the music you play at the end of your videos.
Hi, I live in lovely Falmouth and couldn’t help but spot big green ‘Morgan’ on Monday parked up on the sea front - it certainly is Happy Days for you guys. The fabulous Castle Beach Cafe there will no doubt have sorted you out with your morning coffees. Enjoy! x
What a fantastic fun filled video. 😃 I really want to go to that monkey sanctuary now, glad they finally found themselves a loving home. Would you ever get a smaller campervan and do more of off the beaten path exploring? Looking forward to your next video. Keep adventuring 👍👫 xx
Hi you two saw you on castle beach Tuesday night was going to come and say hello but you were filming we moved to Falmouth 5 years ago from north herts and love it down here never going back enjoy the rest of your trip in Cornwall and I really enjoy watching your videos and I am trying to persuade my wife to get a camper van 🏄♂️🏄♂️🏄♂️
Hi guys can’t believe you were in my home town of Falmouth and I missed you I’ve been looking out for the van as I knew you would be coming hopefully you may come across my daughter in st ives xx
Brilliant video as always. I went to the Eden project years ago,it looks so much bigger now and more to look at. Got my ticket with Tesco clubcard points, not sure if that deal is still going? Thanks again for doing my exploring for me guys :-)

It is fraud though & if you get caught the sentence is _harsh._
As a fellow van lifer, its hard to hear when they try to make it hard for us to use a parking area. Good luck with your challenge!

EXCELLENT vid! Loved it! Thank you for sharing ! Never realized there were such beautiful sites there!
I’ve always ignored parking fines from private company’s and never heard from them again, if it’s from a local council make sure you pay those
Same. Just ignore them and they bugger off eventually.
I am not happy of the DVLA giving my info to a privet company. ANPR should be the use of the Police only.

Good news is we've successfully appealed them all.

Making a number plate unreadable can lead to a fine of £1000

Its a shame you can't take dogs 😔
You can take dogs into the Eden project just not in the domes.not great if there are just two of you wanting to go in together but we have luckily been able to do this as a family and take turns going inside. Dog enjoys sitting outside with one of us xx
The Eden project looks amazing! You should visit Monkey World ape Resuce centre when you go to Dorest.
Ooo didn't know it existed 😍
ROD UK
Absolutely agree. Bad advice from the “it’s not a fine it’s an invoice”brigade.
Hello they cannot confiscate your vehicle, that is just a made up story, having no tax and insurance whilst on a public road MAY slow for action to be taken, no Court would allow a vehicle to be taken in leu of a fine . So much miss information.
Absolutely disagree. Do not contact or pay. It's different if it's the council.
I can't believe how much adventure you packed into one video! The monkeys, the domes, the beach. And to top it all off in the company of friends was just awesome, wish I could've joined you! 😊 🌻
🤣👍
Outrageous fines for a brief 10 minutes. So unfortuante. You most definitely are sharing something that all van lifers should be aware of whether in the UK or in the USA. Thank you for your honest reviews each and every time. I live in Maryland and so enjoying such a lovely and caring couple. We are all living through your experiences. I recall one such that you would not accept donation to fix Morgan, which we love. But instead direct to homeless shelters and organizations such as that. Not sure of your faith but you are saints in the making and so appreciate you both.
💚💚💚
Hi, loving the channel and have followed you for ages. Keep up the great content. I've just noticed recently there are more and more plugs and ads creeping in. If it's not square space then it's this air up stuff. Any chance of keeping the ads a bit shorter? We do enjoy watch g your channel and adventures though!
Thanks for the feedbacks, the good news is we always reduce the yt ads if we get sponsors and we only work with sponsors we like
Such a beautiful video as always, love to you all 🌻💚
Thank you 💚
Another amazing video from you both.. safe travels xx
Thank you 💚
Great tour guys and nice content.
Thank you
Sorry you got scammed. The domes were so pretty inside. The roads are so narrow. Beautiful country. Stay safe.
Yay! Beautiful Cornwall! You could have parked down with us had you still had Freda! We are down a tight narrow lane 15 minutes from Falmouth! ❤️🐚 blessings to you and safe travels x
Aw thanks guys x
Hi So sorry to hear about your fine, the government have Slipped so many laws through under the radar to try and restrict wild camping in your vehicle. I guess the bottom line is the government want you to be beholden to them they don’t want you to be self-sufficient it’s all about money and power . I hope you manage to appeal it . Really appreciating the two videos a week I look forward to them so much xx❤️
No, this is something Gov't have actually improved, parking used to be a complete free-for-all with people getting billed ridiculous amounts but they did put some rules down (Thatcher I think, not sure)
Recently the rules have been getting lax though & the "guidelines" completely suspended this February.
You have no contractual obligation to pay.
Beautiful animals. Some humans are a stain on the beautiful earth. That chilli looked damn good, Liam. 😁
Enjoy! x
Well spotted, we loved it there x
Lovely to see you're in Cornwall, best beaches anywhere. But I am biased as I live here. Have fun😃
Liam , get some number plates that confuse the apnr cameras
That's a fab idea
What a fantastic fun filled video. 😃 I really want to go to that monkey sanctuary now, glad they finally found themselves a loving home. Would you ever get a smaller campervan and do more of off the beaten path exploring? Looking forward to your next video. Keep adventuring 👍👫 xx
Haha its always tempting
Hi you two saw you on castle beach Tuesday night was going to come and say hello but you were filming we moved to Falmouth 5 years ago from north herts and love it down here never going back enjoy the rest of your trip in Cornwall and I really enjoy watching your videos and I am trying to persuade my wife to get a camper van 🏄♂️🏄♂️🏄♂️
You will love the next video then haha
@@ThoseHappyDays Looking forward to it see you Sunday ❤️
Hi guys can’t believe you were in my home town of Falmouth and I missed you I’ve been looking out for the van as I knew you would be coming hopefully you may come across my daughter in st ives xx
Ah no, next time 👍❤️
My neck of the woods regularly swim there in Falmouth, not sure if you've gone past but I reckon you'd like Porthtowan beach on the north coast.
That's living! You two are so lucky!
Brilliant video as always. I went to the Eden project years ago,it looks so much bigger now and more to look at. Got my ticket with Tesco clubcard points, not sure if that deal is still going? Thanks again for doing my exploring for me guys :-)
Ah wow that's a fab way of using the club card points
