We were taught like, Kuladevatha choses a person before the birth itself and puts into it's kula or family. Ishta devatha may change with the course of time in life & one can have multiple ishta devathas but Kuladevatha remain constant for a family. The legacy follows from generation to generation. Kuladevatha upasana is a must follow, while one can add other ishta devathas for upasana along with kuladevatha. kuladevatha aradhana acts as a strong protective cosmic shield for any individual.

Is there any way to change Kuladevatha?
What? You must be kidding right
@fashionforward9 simple route is try finding your extended family or their ancestral village , generally Purohits in villages keeps the track of people’s lineage, villages used to be settlement of one caste/clan devoted to one kul devta/devi.
You are disrespecting your Kuldevta. New Kuldevta won't take you as you are a cheater who left their own Kuldevta.
@fashiondress001 how to worship Datta?
@@GeoShubh
First, how to know kuldevta?
Secondly how to know original kuldevta Not entities which former generation worshipped and fixed them in kuldevta place. In this condition what to do & how to make new kuldevta?

Bai Hindi ma bata kar kia bol r ooo
If u don't know about ur kuldevi than....u do some sadhana and u ask her to be your kuldevi, and perform your rituals...with whole family and make her happy...maybe she will accept as ur kuldevi ....
But generally if u know ur kuldevi and u try to change it ... that's a disrespect...than no one will help u...coz original kukdevi u disrespected, and new devi won't accept to be your kukdevi ....so it's like u have no kuldevi....
In our pahar...we have kuk devi since our gotra rishi, like viswamitra gotra, our kuldevi is maa Chandi..we worship her annually... according to our family rituals...now someday if I want to change ... that's a huge disrespect... that's called kul dosha....
So don't try that....u can keep bhairab baba as ur ista dev...
