- Last year I was hired by Ski.Com to travel the globe and document 18 of the worlds top ski resorts via the Epicpass. Destination #3 of my world tour lands me in Verbier, Switzerland. Watch and discover what makes this resort the most extreme of them all.
I hope you enjoy this documentary series I put together for Ski.com. Be sure to subscribe to my channel as I'll be releasing these recaps every Friday at 9am PST for the next few weeks!

😂 That is not the Mont Blanc you are showing there... You got it confused with the Dent Blanche. Mont Blanc is also visible from up there but it is 90 degrees to the right from your perspective... You can actually see the Mont Blanc in your video at 2:08 a little right to your helmet.
Mont Blanc is actually 180 degrees the opposite direction 😝
I believe it is neither Dent Blanche but rather Weisshorn, which runs a little higher than Matterhorn ... the one a little further in the back to the left should be Dom des Mischabel
Its def Dent Blanche
yeah, you are right it is Dent Blanche; anyway, Mt Blanc is more like 180 degrees from there … went there yesterday and took some pics from the platform at the Teleferique
😮💨
Spent a whole month here in 2013 and safe to say it was the best christmas and new year I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to get back there someday soon 👌🏼
I watched this video and thought it had at least 500.000 views. This the most underrated video I’ve seen.
fr
True
OMG Cant wait for my trip this winter to this EPIC place.
absolutely love verbier! i stay in nendaz every year, and this is amazing!
go here every year for New Years, it’s such an incredible experience. Love verbier
you can see both the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc from Mont Fort. However they are in opposite directions and therefore would not be in the same shot like that. Those were the Matterhorn and Dent Blanche
Have been There Since i was 3 years, every holiday! Im now 12 and still going! Best place to ski in the whole World
im going here with my school for a ski trip, never been more excited sslhdjs
Crazy video
Great mountain and village
man I miss backside mont fort
Who else has this video pop up in their recommended while being in Verbier?
I know Verbier, and that's not mont blanc...
I’m going here tomorrow
Moving to Switzerland in 2 years.. can’t wait :))
Wow would you mind telling some more details? Like why do you want to go there and where u from?
Very intrested
@@falke024 I’m from America and I’ve been interested in Switzerland ever since I was 13. I plan on visiting when I graduate to see the mountains. Overall love the accents of the people there, the food, the nature, it would be a nice start for me as an adult. Eventually I plan on studying abroad and moving there. My mother thinks it’s a bad idea but I love the country and it’s culture so I can’t wait for the new experience. ^^
@@Stasiaa1212 wow sounds cool
Actually i am from switzerland ;) Luzern if u want to google it and i would like to visit america ecer since i was younger.
Is it like the movies?
And hows the food? xD
And do you really have to take a car to go to the next village bc u can just walk
@@falke024 Sorry I thought I replied I guess I didn’t-
That’s super cool! I will google it. :))
To answer your questions:
1: It can be like the movies it just depends of what type of movies you mean.
2: The food here is okay, it’s a mix of a bunch of different stuff. If you mean like American food meaning hamburgers then yeah I’d say they’re pretty good depending on where you get them. I like taki’s and sour patch kids as a snack the most.
3: Yes we use cars to get around everywhere. You’d understand when you come and visit. In places like dc and New York. (Big cities) you walk or take the subway which is an underground train.
Also if your gonna visit I’d be aware of the toxic people here.
I have some questions to:
1: how’s the food there?
2:what should I not say?
3: any places I should visit?
@@Stasiaa1212 he never replied so i'll do it for him,
1. depends if you like cheese :), if you do then you'll love it (when I say cheese I mean REAL cheese and not american cheese ;))
2. nothing really ? maybe don't insult people i guess but that's obvious :D
3. again depends on what you like, there's a shit ton of mountains obviously and things to do on them, but there's also cities with museums, zoos, etc
The stuff dreams are made of.
insane
These comments are weird af, great video dude.
nice video see you this winter PRAYFORSNOW ❄️
I thought that the most Extreme Ski Resort was in Serre Chevalier, France, Southern Alps-Ecrins : only one lift for an entire unmarked ski reserved space amid a huge resort area between glaciers, varticalities, etc !
Im lucky to live 1h away from Verbier
LMFAO THAT DOESN’T EVEN LOOK CLOSE TO MONT BLANC
Mont Blanc, Dent Blanche... All the same 😉
But yeah - makes you question the quality of the rest of the information...
PS: What did he turn Géraldine Fasnacht's name into? 😂
Nice video but I'm pretty sure the mountain you point to at 2:16 is not Mont Blanc.
fire my guy
Nolan Parmenter thanks dude!
Actually here now
Me too
Hi Jackson
Fortunately I have a chalets there hihihi
i live near verbier (la tzoumaz)
Not Mt. Blanc 😂
I'm looking for Serge Mitchaud from Switzerland verbier
Song ?
and everything is expensive as fuck in swiss
Verbier the most extreme? Err, hello La Grave calling? And then Chamonix calling? Alagna?
Eh. The drop from Mt Fort is genuinely the scariest "groomed" slope runs I've seen in my life. But yeah, if you are talking about the freeride stuff, it's rather tame.
Mate if you want to talk about step and deep you have to come to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort here in British Columbia Canada. There is no where like it.
Switzerland is better idk what u talking about.
@@vibez.6211
Have you been here to Kicking Horse?
@@andycommonsincanada ?
Love Canada, but the alps have bigger vert and tons of infrastructure. Plus the alps are dripping with centuries old mountain culture? And yes I've been to
KH, and every other western Canadian ski mountain. As well as numerous chopper in huts in BC and Alberta.
So.. what makes it the most extreme? Lived in Switzerland for 10 years and went to V. several times and it’s mostly known for having lots of Russians and good nightlife during Xmas, not for being extreme in any way lmao
I'm swiss too and I know it's considered a difficult ski resort. Now having skied there I think it depends on where you go, there are easy lines but also really hard ones depending on your level.
I lived in verbier for 4 years, It has some of the most accesable perfect freeride, Verbier Extereme started there over 20 years ago which has now become the free ride world tour, Bec. Backside. Its the best place to ski in europe.
Russians? You’re talking about courcheval. Been going to verbier for nearly 20years and you literally never hear or see any Russians. You’ve clearly never been have you?
thats not mont blanc mate
Dude that is not the Mont Blanc🙈
1:18 You butchered her name XD
Mont blac is on the other side
most extreme? maybe the apres with MDs from geneva can get a bit coke heavy but otherwise the resort is mellow as fucccccccccccccccck no cap captain
Access the best "lines," you say? Go native and call them "pistes." I find that word hilarious.
He didn't call them pistes because he wasn't skiing on pistes. He wouldn't be hiking out to ski a piste :p
Pistes are groomed trails. Aka groomers, corduroy.
Please email me 02:11 as a hi-res screenshot
Who tf says verbeeyay
these comments make my brain hurt
sick video, bad pronunciation of the names of the places though
Not the right mountain dude.. mt isn’t even in the country.. please get it right..
Sorry I’ll never let it happen again, I swear
@Etienne Tholence Yeah these comments are really funny to read lmao. People are getting so mad because he mispronounced a few words.
This guy clearly has no clue, that is not Mount Blanc.....ignore his horrendous American pronunciation of everything Le Cav ee ew.....really.
Horrible pronunciation. Trust me- the Fer a Cheval guys were LAUGHING at you .
I do not want to get on a chair lift with you 😂
Hi Jason, Mont Blanc - Don't pronounce the -t or the -c. Somebody should have helped you with French pronunciation before making the video. Le Caveau: Pronounced luh cav-oh. I'm a French teacher on skis!
