Heavy Pettin Retrospective

A quick look at the woefully overlooked Scottish NWOBHM band. They released some great music in the 1980s that wasn't appreciated nearly as much as it should have been.
Quick note - in the video I mentioned their brief live appearances supporting "Lettin Loose" in the U.S. and how they got little label support. After making this video I read Martin Popoff's "This Means War: The Sunset Years of the NWOBHM" (a GREAT book - like everything Martin Popoff writes). In it, its suggested that Polygram may have pulled their support of Heavy Pettin and instead put their resources behind labelmate Bon Jovi. This included pulling Heavy Pettin off of the Motley Crue tour after just a few dates and replacing them with Bon Jovi.
If so, what a shame.
