@@daveswoodshop782 This machine must be very top heavy to be on a mobile base. What size foot print does your base have to prevent it from toppling over
I have it on a Harbor Freight #95288 mobile base. Dimensions are only 16 x 23 in., It is 2in. wider than the drill press base on each side. I have way more expensive mobile bases on the other machines in my shop but because this machine is so tall and top heavy this base worked out best. It is solid as a rock yet easy to move when I need to.

Hi! I'm nee to the drill press world just bought a jet 20 inch press. What exactly does the inch refer to? 17 in or 20 in?
Clearance from the center of the drill chuck to the main post. In essence how wide of a piece of stock will fit on the table.

No. Actually I have mine on a mobile base so that I can wheel it out to get clearance when drilling longer pieces. it is very stable.
