THANK YOU!!!!!!! I've been searching for this soundtrack for this film since 7th grade and have been interested in this film since 6th grade. for some reason I never thought to look for an International soundtrack. Where did you find this??????
I was on this internet archive page that had a bunch of vitaphone discs (tho not all sadly :,3) anyways I was on it cuz I've been on it thousands of times and scrolled down to the replies, there were 3 and one of them mentioned another sight, just wanted to randomly check it out, already had before, not really expecting anything new...tho I really was hoping for, and sure enough!!! I saw reels 7-8-9 of the international released, just THERE!! Someone had posted them back in 2022 so it was a shock to me, and I knew I just HAD to notify y'all about it in video form lmao!!
@@Galia_Lulu ive been trying to listen to the songs from this picture for a long time as well, I even looked in the ASCAP repertory and discovered the original orchestrations for the dancing on mars used during production of the film still exist!! I tried talking to the contact they listed but they said a client of theirs had it and nothings came of it since. I wonder if I gathered up enough band and orchestra kids if I could make a recording of it. I also got access via temporary video link the the 2 minutes of footage currently at the BFI. I took some screenshots but didn't end up screen recording it. the color was incredible.
@@MATTHEWCROWELL-u6n OMGGG SO LUCKYY!! I saw this like 30 second promotion for this book the dawn of technicolor and took a few screenshots of pictures that were on it like paris, dance of life, and (26:50) No no nanette lol, omg I so badly want to see those DAMN fragments, ur so lucky tho
At least I have a better understanding of how the film was. Too bad the tea for two numbers is missing. I heard that in an old surviving script tea for two, it was never sung, it was background music.
This sounds like the synchronized music and effects silent version with music numbers intact. I did not know jack warner was still doing these versions in 1930. Too bad it wasn't the surviving dialog disc version did not survive. Too bad a movie-tone film version from Australia did not survive with color sequences. Guess what survives? It is at b.f.I. A wardrobe test with Berncie claire in two-color technicolor! 150 ft
👏👏👏🔥🔥This is a message to anyone who thinks to watermark images, production stills. Whatever, I doubt you have evil intentions but regardless, Imma still save and use them, don't you worry, at this point I do not care about the watermark ._. NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING WITH ANYONE!! ,,ówò,, sowwy if I sound harsh...but srsly, watermarking won't stop me anymore :P

I have wanted to see this for ages. One of my late older relatives watched Alexander Gray perform in a Night Club many decades ago.
This sounds absolutely beautiful! Thank you for uploading!
