Event Horizon is what "Hellraiser: In Space!" meets Disney's "The Black Hole" was supposed to be!
Great Sci-Fi (and it was! The science behind Event Horizon was, basically, up to snuff!) mixed w/Eldritch, other-worldly (or extra-dimensional, in this case!) horror. And... It... *WORKED!!*
(Having Sam Neil & Laurence Fishburne in the cast CERTAINLY didn't hurt either!)

Thanks so much. I adore space films, even the trashy ones. Other guilty pleasures: Planet of Dinosaurs (1977), Saturn 3 (1980), Inseminoid (1981), Android (1982), Forbidden World (1982), Creature (1985), Star Crystal (1986), Moontrap (1989), The Dark Side of the Moon (1990), Dead Space (1991), Alien 3 (1992), Alien Intruder (1993), Oblivion (1994), Within the Rock (1996), Vampirella (1996), Legion (1998), Supernova (2000), Doom (2005).

Wow you really listed some great freaking movies that I happen to really love! Especially Planet of Dinosaurs, 1985's Creature, Klaus Kinski in that movie is pretty much playing himself but more over-the-top😂, but especially the Dark Side of the Moon! I remember watching that movie when it first came out on VHS and it creeped me the hell out! And the VHS cover is what grabbed my attention, with the pair of sinister looking demonic eyes superimposed over the moon. It was such a creepy looking picture. I think I was about 15 or so at the time when I first watched it. And the scene where the guy gets his head pulled into the girl's stomach or something, God that terrified me. And all your other listed movies are fucking fantastic picks! Saturn 3 with Kirk Douglas and Farrah Fawcett and Harvey Keitel is just an amazing movie. I think it should have gotten more recognition.
However, I can't be the only one that noticed that the movie Forbidden World, and Dead Space are almost exact copies of each other. Except Dead Space had Bryan Cranston in one of his first starring roles I believe.
You truly have some incredible taste in cult classics and B-movies my dear.

And I get such a kick out of the fact that the real reason he doesn't speak much at all in Galaxy of Terror, is because when he read the script which was written by Rodger Corman I believe, he hated most of his lines! He thought it was all technobabble crap!😂🤣😂 So he basically decided that his character was going to be a man of few words, and instead be a man of action! Movie was pretty forgettable. Saw it in theaters cus I love Jake Gyllenhaal & Ryan Reynolds (their promo together was fantastic) but I couldn’t tell you a single detail from the movie apart that Jakes’ character was creepy and was obsessed with the creature. So idk how we’d classify it as brilliant when the concept was done much better in other older movies with lower budget. Just my opinion though, you’re entitled to yours.

Maybe you should do another top 10..I also agree with someone in the comments that "Starship Troopers" could make the list.. although it's more of a war movie than a horror movie.

Where the devil, or some kind of demon was let loose on a spacecraft and was possessing various people on it. I just remember the eyes that it would make people's ordinary ones turn into. They were so demonic looking and the voice of the Devil was EVIL AS FUCK!
