WOW!!!! I've seen some others try teaching this song, and they were terrible at teaching. You sir were phenomenal. I am a beginner, but I believe I can get through this. Your instruction and tablature were easy to follow and understand. Thank you for wanting to spread the word about and encouraging others to play songs by showing them the way. I hope to see more from you.
Yep Great job! Because I’m a lazy bum, I decided to strum this instead - & I also tuned my 2nd string to D. Sounds pretty kool on my epiphone 12 string I must say!
Note that Greg Lake often played the repeated pull-off at the end of the intro (and elsewhere) that creates a D sus2 chord as a mordent instead, i.e., a quick hammer-on and pull-off starting from the open string.

Thanks for your detailed tutorial!!!
This is such an amazing song.
Great tutorial
Thanks. You confuse pull-offs with hammer-ons.
This is excellent
How do we get the tabs, please? I clicked on the link above and was directed to UA-cam and Spotify.
thanks for the tutorial, but maybe greg tuned the low E-string to D? Otherwise its sounds a bit wrong.
Bro. 28 seconds in.
I would bet that the original recording was probably done with two guitars. One in standard tuning and one in Nashville tuning. Just my guess.
