Range Rover: Restoring sticky control Knobs

Sticky knobs of the A/C unit can become sticky overtime and look nasty and feel even worse. You don't have to replace them, if you can find them, they are easy to restore to their former glory. In this short video I'll show you how to remove them and restore them.

Thanks for this video. Although the knobs are no longer sticky. The driver side temp control is stiff and unable to rotate. Any ideas on how to make it mobile again?

Thanks. Mine has developed an issue too, it will not rotate fully to the lowest setting. My dial surround has a tang missing which may be the issue.I'm going to have a look soon, I'll let you know how I get on.

Yes the other dial under it does have a tab broken under. That might be the problem. I just don’t know where to get that bottom by itself to test if that is the problem 😞

Also I am afraid to try using another by removing the other one as a tester from the other side thinking I might break that tab while removing it and then both not working. Have you tried?
