The Aquila 44 is a versatile design for chartering and private yachting. Her interior layout lets the buyer customize the space. Overall, her spaces are functional and well-built. Tempered windows provide 360-degree panoramic views. A resin-infused hull, deck, and bulkheads, coupled with balsa wood coring, complete the package. - Авто та транспорт
This Aquila 44’ as shown is by far one of the nicest sub-50’ live aboard yachts on the market today. As always, great walkthrough!
Really like how you critique the boat with useful add on suggestions and also pointing out fine details of what makes for a better experience. Thanks for the critical thinking.... and yes the boat you chose to show was IMO the best of the finishing colours.
She is a fantastic boat Capt. Steve and you do a great job reviewing it! Thanks. What's a beauty like this going to cost me? :)
She is a beauty. I want one!
For a 40 ft boat, this has I'd say arguably better design choices than bigger boats that I've seen. Just comes to show. Size isn't everything.
It's a 44 footer, but it's way wider than a single hull. I think aquila said their 44 footer has more room that a 60 foot single hull.
This is my favorite live aboard for the price. Would love to see an episode on the Nova Luxe, solar electric hybrid, version. Limitless range, sign me up.
These are well designed
Best I've seen
I'm in love absolutely beautiful 😍💕
For a boat built for 'extended time away from dock' to not have an inside helm is questionable. Some days you are either going to end up driving in the cold rain or delay your trip until weather improves.
Lower helm is optional. I wouldn't buy one without it.
Here it is with inside helm in bad weather

The only helm is on the fly bridge and is pretty exposed ?
Really Fallin love amazing.
Would they make these models with a hydrofoil and solar assistance since it has such a great roof?
For a long term liveaboard, wish the refrigerator/freezer was larger.
Didn’t realize that until you said that! They get you with the Bells 🔔 and Whistles! Lol 😂
Me, too! Plus the optional W/D.
Great dinghi for beginners and people with limited means.
Your joking right
*snort*
If you really want a long range live aboard with 3,000 NM range you pretty much have to go with a trawler. Although this is a real nice catamaran!
Do they have one without a fly bridge
Beautiful boat but lack of inside helm is ridiculous.
No driving from inside the salon?
I would like to see a washer dryer combo. Otherwise, perfect weekender!
he said it's an option
And an additional freezer. What was the size of the fridge. Neither is big enough for extended periods on the water.
Absolutely beautiful and thoughtful design. I only wish it ran on solar power!
You would need to tow a solar farm to do that!
Charlie Odom several new companies have made substantial breakthroughs on that front .... check out Silent Yachts AU and their Silent 44
It’s interesting they market it as a possible live aboard but from what I noticed there isn’t a single helm position enclosed on the main deck.... not ideal for less than perfect days
@@Eagle737 It's an option.
@@Eagle737 2 mil no prob
No inside helm?
Better hope you don't run into weather, the hardtop is also short in the front. Would be very difficult and expensive to enclose the flybridge with that through front access.

I’d like to see the technicals and range numbers too as it is called a long range cruiser
The range is the only thing that is disappointing. It really needs at least three to four times the range that it has. I would happily trade some of the living room for more fuel tanks. Otherwise it is a great looking boat.
Andy S there is another video from boat test with the technical details.
Great boat all around but it is not long range cruiser for sure. Controls only on the fly bridge{what about those things called gales}. not enough fridge capacity, no washer and dryer. if all of those are "options" the overall design is for very comfy coastal cruising, not for serious passages.
Those are all options. He's showing a base model. You can get one with two bridges, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and more fridge and freezers. It all depends on how many people you travel with. If there are only two people on board, how much frozen food are you carrying? Aquila also makes models up to 70 feet long. For a 44 footer, this has a LOT of room.
@@TexanUSMC8089 great reply but stuff that should have been mentioned in video. Thanks for the post it sheds light on useful info.
I'd like to see some solar panels on top of the fly bridge.
Comes with 2 panels (charge batteries)
Not showing any of the machinery spaces really leaves me wondering....what are you hiding?
My dresm cat.
The failure of this boat is the exposed helm on the fly bridge and none in the cabin. Bad weather with stiff wind leaves the helmsman exposed and at risk.
No interior helm is a negative for me. I want to be able to make over night passage or not be exposed in a storm.
Nice, but I wonder: If you find yourself sailing with a force 5 and pouring rain, I don't think driving on the flybridge is fun.
Only control from the flybridge.
Yeah what a bummer
Can order inside helm option or remote control autopilot, raymarine apps on iPad, and remote throttle.
Price?
We don't mention price because every dealer has their price, and depends on features. If you could to our website you can get a price through our direct contact with dealer. boattest.com/review/aquila/3500_44
BoatTEST.com Thanks, I understand but isn’t there an MSRP for every boat?
@@JasonHartmanROI No, each boat changes with options.
Awesome Cat but I'm 5 yrs. late Steve 😞
never too late!!
Blows my mind, a perfect flybridge yacht, that does not have a cockpit helm.
Pretty sure it is optional...but come on !!!!!!!!!1
Not a way, to squeeze out a few xtra 1000's.
Wouldnt buy a 911 turbo S, where A/C is optional.
Who does that?
el liquido del interior de la botella ni se mueve TRAMPA....
WE SHOULD INVEST HEAVILY ON HIGH SPEED WATER VEHICLE'S FOR NEXT 20 YEAR
I can't wait until every shipyard adds solar panels and electric motors to all their models. Fuel costs and mooring fees look like my biggest barriers to ownership. 😒
Whoever designed that wants shooting.
No inside helm and Made in China are two things that would make me pass on this PC
Left at Kilograms
Window to the WATER....uh NO THANKS....In 10 years thats gonna be a liability......
Black countertops - so outdated, and nowhere to watch sit comfortably to watch tv in the salon! Poor design for a 44 footer.
Well, you are commenting on a three-and-a-half-year-old video ... so, great catch on the "outdated" look - I guess.
Like the content! But really absolutely minor criticism for every vessel!!! Do you even hold a ticket? Are you just a yacht broker!!! Aka worse than a used car salesman!
