There's a reason I love Aquilas. This one certainly doesn't disappoint. I really like the fly bridge design. The 54 is still my dream boat. Great tour, Hugo, thanks.
Great Cat Hugo……. Had a nice cruiser vibe in the saloon/cockpit……. The helm looked as though it belonged…… not just a worktop with a steering wheel. Fascinating, when you lifted the cabin steps revealing the hull window. I spotted the safety glass hammer and twigged that if (heaven forbid 🥺) she was capsized……. Those steps would hang reversed, showing a way up and out through the window….. Clever 🙂
I wonder why they never have this feature on monohulls? All sailing cats have an escape hatch in case of capsize. My monohull Contessa does not thankfully.
If my lottery ticket came good, I'd take one look at this ugly hulk and then order a Galeon 500 Fly for about the same money (or less), accommodation, and a neat tender garage.
@@origin178 - I had a wander about this very boat at the Southampton show. The previous boat I explored the Galeón 500. And although I admired the Aquila, I definitely preferred the Galeon. Really nice feel to it, and the rotating seating in the cockpit is genius. Only downside was the VIP cabin in the bow was a bit cramped.
Was that really the escape hatch under the stairs in the port hull cabin? You use the hammer to break the badly bonded glass window and crawl out into the sea under the boat and all for £1.5m
One of the best boats Chinese slave labor can build. I would love to tour the factory and verify the workers there. I've heard stories. These are nice, unless you're Alex and you hate them
Nice till systems start failing or things start falling apart. Or start on fire or who knows what do to their use of inferior materials or poor workmanship
Starting to really like power cats! Thanks for showing us around Hugo. Amazing how a ‘quick’ tour of a 44’ boat can take around 18 minutes. So much space on board.

Great family boat. Thanks for the review
My pleasure
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
GORGEOUS, I JUST LOVE CATS!!! 😃😃😃
5000w solar panel + 200kwh battery = perfect boat
Nice!
Huge space! How long a monohull would you need to buy to get this much space and would it cost more?

6:56 Tesco sandwich meal deals?

Yep, Cats cannot self right like a mono-hull. If if does flip that might be the only way out. I've never seen a cat without one of those in each hull.
Can you get a 4 or even a 5 cabin version? You'll probably answer this later in the video, but I'm too impatient you know!
you can get 3 cabin + the very small crew quarters in the bow, but then you would lose a lot of storage
Beautiful boat. Slightly over priced imho
Tanks in the bows of a catamaran? Yikes.
