  • In this video I'm at a sunny Concrete Waves skatepark reflecting on 3 years of learning to axle stall. I recently started to learn a variant of the axle stall where the front truck taps the coping on the way through and it highlighted a couple of techniques that needed work.

    Great video. Thanks mate.
    I’ve struggled with BS5050 consistency too. Skated tonight and realised I’ve been letting the front wheels hit the coping on the way up without realising!

    As a skate coach and a skater for over 19 years now, i want to say your axel stalls are really good, if you want them better start working on your 50/50 ginds, do the same thing as you do now but come into the trick from a bigger angle! Keep Rocking!

      Hi Alan
      Sounds great !
      I went for backside and frontside slash grind,
      Then the classic ones are b/s axle stall, Rock to Fakie and tail stall.
      They are classed as beginner tricks, but I found them far from easy !! Good luck dude !

    • @JonBishopSkate
      @JonBishopSkate  Рік тому

      Yeah, it’s a tricky one cause I record the videos having never tried the trick and then that hopefully shows everything that can go wrong? Unfortunately I started the channel about a year after I learned to drop in so it’s never been something I’ve covered. I did cover it when I learned to drop in on a vert ramp, but I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t be too helpful??

    Opposite problem here. Come home after each session with swollen feet & unquenchable thirst. So much heat from the sun above and concrete below. Bit easier at night but so much heat built up from the day, that my feet still get cooked. BTW: No wind. You should be out surfing.
