- Hello, thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video. For those who are curious, this is the Wall of Sharks Dive in the South Pass of Fakarava. An average of 700 sharks group together on an incoming tide. Videos hardly pick up how many there truly were.

You have a natural talent for producing good content, not just beautiful filmography, but a sharp focus on the important issues involved, and a clear look at the reality of passage-making on a small, simple boat. I crossed my first ocean in 1976 and sailed to Tahiti in 1980. Sextant, paper charts and lots of educated guesswork in those days. I've been using a GPS since 1994 and eventually graduated to a chartplotter a few years ago, and love them,. It takes a lot of anxiety out of navigating near land at night or in poor visibility. I've been fascinated to see how you effortlessly interface the different systems you use. Good to see you incorporate paper charts into your navigation. They give navigators a good overview. Listening to your commentary makes it clear your seamanship is first-class. I will follow you from here on with pleasure.

I'm a 25 y/o black woman and I don't know anything about boats led alone even know how to swim but there is something so interesting about your videos that I forget the whole idea is about traveling and being in the ocean while you detail what that's like for you. @@PeterPiper777 age, gender, race, and interest is taken Into account when targeting an audience which is why I listed my age, race,gender and interest to say with those things included I still like his videos. That was all. It’s just a compliment to say his content has reached a broader audience of people that may not be able to relate but can still enjoy what he puts out in his videos.

Been watching your adventures from the start. You don't realize how lucky you are to be doing what your doing. I was in my mid 20s and wanted to sail. I'm 43 now and still do. Keep following your dreams and goals. Don't end up like me.
Do it sooner than later. Once you turn 60 the world is no longer youre oyster. But at 43 you still have a few years.

We spent 2 months in the Tuamotus 2 years ago on our way through FP. S Pass Fakarava, Bird Island, and Tikehau were fantastic. Huahine and Western Samoa were additional favorites. Enjoy! These are some of the best times if your life, young man.

Ever heard of Holly Martin, of Windhippiesailing? Her dad did most of the work on your boat ten years ago.In fact he recommended the Nor'Sea 27 to me.
Regarding your depthfinder, a really common failure mechanism is the coupling liquid (usually antifreeze) leaking out between your transceiver puck and your hull fitting or through-hull. Just reseal the fitting and refill, just use water in a pinch since nothing's going to freeze down there anytime soon. Symptoms are the unit just failing to report a stable depth.
