Thanks for the in depth video. Great job for sure. I'm considering the advance for my shop. I am wondering if it has capabilities to diagnose misfires on both gas and diesel. Thanks again
Great VIdeo Scott! Question, does the ET9200 have a Topology view of the CAN network? I've found that to be very useful in seeing the network map and which modules are on or offline.
Every scan tool does that is android based. Manufacturer based electronics will only recognize windows for programming. If a scan tool isn’t windows based (snap on Modis and Verus) it still requires a PC. Not enough RAM / ROM or hard drive.
@thomasbona5079, it doesn’t have to be anything special. Might I sugggest joining NASTF.org for some more details as to what may be needed. What version of windows, RAM, etc.
It is not. For the extra money it hard to pass elite. Now they offer extra sign ons for PC, Kia Hyundai gateway is free access, and my guy on the inside said they’re bring out Topology and faster read times with DOIP and CANFD.

The Scout was an early model so my tool-man advised me that my "Diagnostics For Life" updates would no longer be compatible (limited memory) and actually worked a deal out for me to get a free Advanced in exchange for my Scout. Guess I shouldn't complain but deep down wished I looked more into having a larger hard drive installed...

It does, software wise the only difference in the Advance and Elite is working diagrams and repair source

No topology on these. The closest would be readiness checks in Enhanced OBD.

Are these units capable of flash-programming with updated module software? Say, fuel mapping perhaps?
You can use a laptop and the provided J2534 pass through for programming and flashing

Mine said 8k today they’ve actually got a sweet deal in flyer 8 for it
