Thanks for the shout out, Markus, i enjoy building the 67 Mustang you got there a great kit and the Foose truck is another great kit. That what on the back of my card. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the card swap Donnie, I really appreciate that. I like both of those kits and I'm glad to hear the Mustang is a good kit. I knew it was a Foose truck on your card, I watched the video not long ago. Sometimes my mind goes blank. Have a good safe weekend Donnie.👍👍
Thanks Tom, I love Donnie. It would be cool to sit on the front porch and have a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea and shoot the breeze with him. Thanks again Tom.👍👍
Thanks for checking it out, I'm guessing that photo was from 70 or 71. That Feller doesn't sell them I guess, but he has the best looking ones I've seen yet. Fingers crossed. Have a good weekend. I appreciate ya.👍👍
Nice shoutout!! Donnie is a great guy with a great channel. That ‘67 is a really nice kit. Only thing you have to address is the stance a little bit. And getting the wheels tucked in the body. They want to stick out too far in the front. Builds up real nice though! I built it for the Mustang 60 group build. Love the Olds. Have a great weekend!!
Thanks Kyle, Donnie is a good feller for sure. I seen that about the front wheels, I seen someone had a fix for it, I'll have to look at those videos again when I get on it. I love that Olds Kyle. Have a good safe weekend.👍👍
@@HotrodzModelShop465 on my Mustang i just sanded the wheel backs down where they mate to the outer wheel and also the outer wheel got sanded down. Just thinned them both out as much as I could and they tucked under there real nice. I have update videos on it but that’s it. I think Rob from time machines was the one who mentioned to me about doing it that way.
For teardrop hoods check out Drag City Resins. They have a bunch of teardrop hoods. And they're the correct teardrop shape. Unlike the Revell Thunderbolt diamond drop hood. They did it as a sort of diamond shape looking at it from above. In 1974, I worked in a gas station in the San Fernando Valley. The phony "gas shortage" that year was a whole story all by itself. But anyway, there was another young guy who worked for me (I was in charge of the 4PM to midnight shift) bought a 66 Mustang 2+2 (aka fastback). Bright yellow and black trim. Teardrop hood. Same wheels as on the 67 Mustang on the box art. All the Shelby stuff under the hood. Dual Holleys on a high rise manifold tall enough the hood was needed. Long tube headers. 12.1 second 1/4 mile through the mufflers. A serious car. He always ragged on my Baja Bug. 1835cc, 2 barrel Weber carb, cam, headers, offroad tires. One night after work we left the same time. He pulled up beside me at the traffic light for the freeway on ramp. Revved his engine and pointed forward to challenge me to a race. So when the light went green, we went for it. Up to 85mph we were even. Then we came up on traffic and backed off. Good thing too because at 85 I could spin the steering wheel lock to lock and the car would go straight because of the front tires off the pavement due to aero lift on the Baja Bug bodywork. I would have backed off whether there was traffic or not. I never told him that though. He never ragged on my Bug after that. But I always thought he had a really cool Mustang. Re your dad's 67 fastback with a Cobra Jet...I have a 61 F100 that I put a 428 CJ out of a wrecked 70 Cougar Eliminator. That was in 89. Still in there, but so worn now it sounds like pistons are trying to swap holes. I need to rebuild it. Edited typos.
@@dustymojave Cool story, you educated him a bit, lol. Dave sent me 3 of his and I'm gonna use one of his. I'll have to check out Drag City's stuff. Thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it. 👍👍
You might could try a silver Sharpie on the window trim. Those are a little easier to work with than a Molotow pen IMO. It doesn't have that super-bright "chrome" look though, It is more of a brushed aluminum tone. I
Thanks Red. I'm thinking I might try to tape it off and try the sharpie. I ain't trying nothing else like that with that pen, that stuff will get away from ya. Hey Red, I appreciate you offering what you offered to do. You're one of my you tube favorites. Have a good safe weekend.👍👍
Thanks Sam, I appreciate that. The Olds is a cool lookin' race car. I love those older race car kits. Have a good safe week coming up and really be safe with more weather coming in. Prayers for all you Feller's in the path. Stay safe Sam.👍👍
We'll get em done eventually. I might have to get a two handed whooping stick and beat the Cuda across the finish line but it'll get there. Use that flat hood and cut a hole in it and put a tunnel ram on that unit. I think I have an old school snorkel hood scoop if you want that. Let me know.👍👍
Thanks Don, I hope i can do justice for the Mustang. That one means a lot. And Feller, I love the Racecar. I appreciate ya and have a good safe weekend.👍👍
Great shoutout to Donnie. Those 67s are decent kits. I'm thinking about getting a Foose eventually. I love the NASCAR kits, I've got quite a few, I need to grab an Olds to do an AJ Foyt car.
