Put it simply Mario consumed a mushroom that had Yoshi DNA, now he has the hunger of a apex predator combined with the heart of a true hero. He is blind, extremely fast, indestructible, has echolocation, and can seemingly only eat "fresh" meat. He only targets those who threaten the mushroom kingdom and his friends/family.

You did a good job doing the Luigi voice, also that laugh at the end gave me chills!
