I took Asiana a few months back. There was this instant when I wanted the pilot to fill in my logbook, but the cabin crew refused to help me and tried to find excuses. Then I looked for the cabin purser and asked if the pilot could fill in the logbook details provided. The pilots said yes and I found out that the crew that I asked earlier were lazy and unhelpful. They did not ask the pilot at all. The cabin purser would ensure to return my logbook once it's filled up. While waiting, I was escorted back to my seat and the previous crew were shocked to find out I went to look for the purser in business class. But the stewardess who escorted me confronted them that they were not doing their job properly & were given a warning.
I travelled by Asiana Airlines OZ752 SIN/ICN 23:15/06:45 and OZ751 ICN/SIN 16:10/21:30 in Sep 2022. Really regretted it! The crew was basically expressionless. Food was served immediately after reaching cruising altitude. I chose seafood and it was the same dish/same sauce/same sides on a round trip flight 8 days apart. Wow! It wasn't tasty at all, but I ate it on the forward flight. The already small cup only held 1/2 cup of water. The flight attendant was nowhere to be seen after meal time. I was thirsty for the next 5 hours until I landed. Ringed the bell for service and asked for water 3 times but was never served (not much turbulence). The salmon on the return trip was extremely dry and the potatoes were undercooked. I can barely eat it. Luckily, the return trip was a joint flight with SQ passengers, so there was snack time before landing in SG. Thanks to this arrangement that I had a salmon sandwich and plenty of water to drink. Unfortunately I do not speak the same language as them, nor a handsome male, nor an European, these flight attendants didn't help me with my feather-light carry-on bag. I only had a shawl, a few sheets of documents (for COVID-19 screening) and a small umbrella in my bag, and the heavy luggage was check-in. But I'm too short and have short hands and can't reach the overhead luggage compartment. And I didn't want to step on the seat even if I removed my shoe cos I find it not an appropriate thing to do and how would the person feels if he /she saw me stepping on his/her seat? The stewardesses saw me but pretended not to. Instead, they helped others. Finally, I threw the bag up with a loud thud. This wasn't the first time they ignored passengers who needed help. I experienced the same when I traveled with a group tour to Seoul. SQ stewardess will come over and say lets do it together. If it is a male flight attendant, they will come quickly without hesitation and say "let me help you". I told myself never to fly with Asiana anymore.
Oh dear! That was so terrible!! The crew on my trip to Incheon were very cold and not very friendly. They were just 'doing their job'! I'm not sure if that is because we were flying out on a red eye flight at 1am in the morning? All of them were in 'Sleep Mode' hahaha...🤣 You are right! They still only serve the tiny cups of beverage during the flight. Luckily I always keep an empty bottle to fill with water before flights. Our return flight was much better though. The crews were more friendly and the food was better. Maybe it's because I selected the Bimbimbap! Surely cannot go wrong with the standard packet of sauce right?! 🤣🤣
Hi, yes I have heard and seen from the news and other airline reviews on how bad their service is. Things from frequent flight delays or cancellations, to terrible service from the cabin crews, etc... It's horrible that paying customers had to go through such experiences! 😫😣
