Beautiful route, and another one to add to my list. I can't accuse you of being brave taking on this on in December post-stormy weather because I do the same this time of year, I'm just happy to get out when I can, you deal with the conditions as you go, then decide it wasn't your greatest idea 🤣
Nice one Isaac - you’ll love this route, especially if you tag on the bit I didn’t complete (although I’ve since been back to conquer it, despite loads of ice on the trail - Part 2 coming soon). Yep, get out there and enjoy……safely. 👍
That looked borderline epic! What a gorgeous part of the world. I was up there myself last summer; a road riding holiday out of Balintore in June and then September in Strathpeffer. Didn't ride any of those roads or trails but scouted them out in the car for next time. Why the bonk? Just not enough to eat or were you coming down with something? Happens to us all.
If I'd managed the Novar wind farm and Loch Glass, it would definitely have been a full on epic. Insufficient fuelling and lack of fitness were likely main causes of the bonk! The trails were heavy riding too.
Take a proper buke and you can ride up Fyrish. Wish I'd been doing YT in 17 when we had the European Singlespeed champs there. Great trails through the Novar Estate. Looks like Swayndo's Tour de Ben Wyvis. If that's not it, you should look it up. They do ride it on gravel bikes but not at this time of year :)
Ha ha, cheers Pete......proper bike indeed! A proper set of legs n lungs would've been great for this ride! Bumped into a mountain biker last weekend when completing the loop over Novar wind farm/Loch Glass - he'd been up and down Fyrish. I've previously done the Tour de Ben Wyvis - one of my earlier vids....on a gravellar!
Stunning scenery and brilliant photography ! Cant wait for part 2
Thank you - Part 2 just gotta be stitched together before uploading…..watch this space.

Really nice video. Thanks.
@@blackmac1970 thank you 👍
A fantastic trip at this time of year. Footage & sound of the ice melting was amazing. Cheers.
Thanks - yes, the cracking ice was mesmerising.
Nice to see my local tracks getting some action. What a difference heavy trails make to exertion.
@@Swayndo some great trails on your doorstep! Yep, looking forward to trying these tracks again in the dry. 👍
Crawl a bike... I can't see it catching on 🤔
Excellent filming!
@@russellcarter6699 ha ha - I was ready for crawl-a-bike as I got back to the van! Glad you enjoyed. 👍

@@fionaedwards5750 thank you. Wouldn’t have been so amazing if it had been the sound coming from my bottom bracket! 😀

@@TwistyTrails It looked hard enough to ride without all the filming as well!
Amazing video thank you for sharing
@@ChuckHarris-go5nz - no probs - you’re welcome. 👍
