  • In episode 32, I talk about how the heck to open up about your anxiety, especially in settings where it feels incredibly vulnerable to do so, e.g. at work, or in a new relationship.
We will cover why it feels so hard to be honest about your anxiety, why you should talk about your anxiety, and what to keep in mind when being open about your mental health.
I hope you enjoy this episode, and as always, if you would like to be a guest on the podcast and share your anxiety story, please get in touch with me at hello@iamlaurenrose.com.

Hi Kenneth! I have lots of resources related to toilet anxiety, there are multiple videos on my channel about how I've dealt with it and an e-book available on my website. In regards to the nightmares - I sometimes have this. I think its my subconscious' way of exploring those fears because I spent so long in my conscious mind trying to suppress those fears. Try to allow the nightmares and acknowledge that its just your creative way of expressing fear. The most helpful thing I've found over the years has been to build a really respectful relationship with my body. I respect that my body needs to poop sometimes - this morning I had a particularly bad IBS flare (lots of parties lately and socialising and late nights means I haven't been as mindful of my eating habits) and as uncomfortable as it is, I try to send as much love to my body as I can, instead of thinking 'oh no, what if it gets worse, what if i have an accident, what if what if what if...'. Can you find ways to build a nurturing relationship with your body? Everytime you're in the bathroom, can you acknowledge that your body is doing what it needs to do, and can you offer your support and love and compassion in doing so?
It might help to repeat to yourself, I am safe. I trust my body. Whatever happens, I love and respect myself.
