Years ago when I worked at Michael's, we carried his brand name paints/brushes, etc. He even had kits you could buy. We also held classes where a certified instructor in the Bob Ross style would teach how to paint. Also loved the show.
My best friend died this May from cancer and she was a huge Bob Ross fan, so this is really special to me. I've sent her your videos all the time as well and she loved them. Thank you for your great work, Jordan & stay safe. 🙏
I am an artist... and i remember how much fun i used to have watching and listening to Bob Ross. One of my favorite sayings from him: “ there are no mistakes.... just happy little accidents”. 😁
I'm glad they won! Unless the city is helping to pay for the structure they should never tell you what you can and can't do on the paint scheme. I think this is eye catching and Bob Ross would approve! Awesome to see all the tokens of remembrance left for him. It's a happy little grave now!
I love how calming and kind Bob Ross was, funny too, and I loved that he had that pet squirrel which he showed on one of his episodes, for someone who doesn't paint, he was so fun to watch!
Wow that house Starry Night is Bomb... yes Bob Ross .. Fluffy Clouds.. we will add some Here... The Spider reminds me of the Original VW spider in North Palm Springs... Happy Little Clouds.. I used to watch Bob Ross on PBS in the Desert when there were only 3 channel's. I got into drawing desert mountains and hillsides and he was kinda a babysitter when it was 105 outside. Good Memories of Bob Ross. Thanks Jordan!
Bob Ross. Loved watching him on PBS. His voice was so calming. I never picked up a paintbrush but was inspired none the less. Great vlog and loved those sunglasses!
I seem to be the only one on the planet who had never heard of him until just recently. Loved learning all about him and also loved the Starry Night house! What another great trip, Jordan!
Bob was fun to watch with his happy little trees and accidents turned into opportunity . His charm was that he was so relaxed and how he taught the viewers not to worry about perfection because sometimes imperfections made things far more interesting. Thanks Jordan.
Thank you so much Jordan! I too remember as a kid in Ohio watching Bob Ross. I’m 57 now and just the past year I decided because of watching Bob again that I wanted to paint. So last Christmas I got paint, easels, canvases and had at it. I’m not even Bob Ross on a very bad painting day but I enjoy it and it’s so relaxing. I’ve even sold a few of my paintings!!! I so wish I could paint with ease as he did. But he was a great inspiration!!!!
My wife and I had a makeshift studio at our home and would paint to Bob's shows...My 8 year daughter likes Bob too. I always would have to laugh with Bob, when he beat the devil out of his cleaned brush against the leg of his easel! Such a calming talented person. Thanks Jordan, for sharing bobs story.
Love the Starry Night house. So happy the owners won their case. Used to watch Bob Ross on our local PBS station. What an artist and what a human being. So giving of his time and talent. Thank you for showing us that house and sharing about Bob Ross. God keep blessing you
Wow !Jordan spunky glasses, and that intro just an amazing house Vincent Van Goff would be rolling in his grave with approval 💙it. Thankyou for telling the story of the late Bob Ross , so true were your words beautifully told about a man who inspired the world with his amazing talent . His legacy lives on today and forever. RIP ⚘ MR BOB ROSS⚘ You brought joy and happiness to the canvas world we salute you .🏞.
Wonderful vlog Jordan! I watched Bob Ross also as a kid and he made me fall asleep with his soothing and relaxed voice. Lol Great person and artist. He is missed. I actually paint too with the Bob Ross products. He inspired me to paint.
You're so right about the house and these home owners did a beautiful job. Wonderful storytelling of Bob's amazing life. So glad you went to pay respects to him.
Wow!! What a great Vlog. And really took me down memory lane. My dad was a painter and we used to watch Bob Ross almost everyday on PBS. Thank you for this Vlog.
The "Starry Night" house is a masterpiece! They even painted the walkway blue! I would love to live in a place like that! The Gator helmut and the golfer grave were cool, too. Wonderful to see the resting place of the amazing Bob Ross. Excellent vlog, Jordan! Thank You!!!
Love the starry night house. Classy artwork to the hilt! I use to watch Bob Ross all the time and actually painted along with him at times. Cool dude! Thanks for taking us along, Jordan!
I used to love to watch Bob Ross! I remember when he sold his paint kits. you could buy his tools, brushes, paints and easels. He died too young. RIP 🙏🏻
Been by that house several times, love it. I love the fact that they didn't back down, they never gave up, I also love that they painted the sidewalk blue. I love to visit Mt. Dora and all of the shops. I was born in Ohio and now live here in Florida. Hope you have a wonderful time when you move to your new state to call home. Stay safe and be blessed. Thanks for taking us along with you on you great adventures.
I took a class from a certified teacher, a student of Bob Ross, when I was 10 years old. While I can still do some of what we learned, I forgot most of it. It really is a technique anyone can learn and do. I'd love to take another class and relearn everything.
Great video .I can't be the only one who watched Bob Ross and waited anxiously for him to mess up an already gorgeous painting when he started getting bolder with the painting he was doing but he never did .My wife does his style of painting on her model train layouts instead of purchasing them .It was always so touching when he brought animals on the show especially the baby squirrels .The Starry Night house was gorgeous and way to go for the homeowner on them fighting the system .
I felt the same way. Id think, don't add a thing, but he would somehow make it even better. Ill never forget when he was on Letterman one time, and Dave swiped paint across bob's painting to see if he would get mad, but Bob just fixed it by turning it into something. Bob never lost his cool. So great
Very good 👍 vlog buddy 👍👌 the best 🙌. Bob ross was my favorite painter I've watched him all my life when bob ross came on TV I would focus one hundred a ten percent and focus on him he was incredibly good man 👍.
I'm from muncie indiana we have strong ties to Bob here he filmed for years at ball state university. Actually we have a special Bob Ross exhibit going on. Right now at our mintrista center
Bob Ross had the ability to paint a masterpiece in 30 minutes. But his calm professional demeanor made you believe you could do anything but remain kind.
Thank you Jordan. Another amazing vlog about Bob Ross. My brother always watched Bob Ross as a kid of the 90's. I enjoyed watching him as well. Thanks again.
Condolences to family and friends .Bob would love the support he has after his transitioning .Peace and love be with him his family friends and fans .☮️♥️
Thank-you Jordan. I loved watching The joy of painting. The Starring night house was awesome. I don't normally comment on your videos but I love watching them. I think this was one of my favorite videos you have done. You are very talented and special.
Wow Jordan, awesome vlog! I didn't know anything about Bob's story but watched him all the time, mesmerized by his ease in painting! He made us all think we were artists! Thank you for yet another awesome vlog! 🖌️
I'm SO glad you came to Mount Dora, I used to take the back way into work and would come by this house every day. I always wondered about the backstory so thank you for this!! Mount Dora is also where they filmed Honky Tonk Freeway and painted the town pink for the movie. It's a cheesy movie but I always loved it. And my favorite couple was in it - Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn One other thing you may already know, Rob Grill from The Grass Roots lived in Mount Dora. I had NO idea that Bob Ross was buried at Woodlawn. That's where my parents are buried as well.
Did you ever have or go to a Bob Ross party? It's great with kids or a mix of kids and adults - preferably all with no art background. The host gets lots of water color paints (it's easier to clean up) and small canvases or paint boards - one for each member of the party. Then you run a recording of a Bob Ross show and everybody paints their own version as Bob walks you through the steps. You just play bits of the recording at a time and then pause it while everybody paints. The results are terrific! Everybody votes on the winning piece and an award is presented. I was at one where a 6 year old beat everybody else there with the best painting! It was lots of fun for all.
Bob Ross had that wonderful ability to make everyone believe that they could paint a masterpiece!
So true. Well said
Years ago when I worked at Michael's, we carried his brand name paints/brushes, etc. He even had kits you could buy. We also held classes where a certified instructor in the Bob Ross style would teach how to paint. Also loved the show.
