Your beginner anabolic program has "standing overhead barbell press" as one of the exercises, but the model is clearly doing a "push press". Not happy about the confusion and as the program targets a beginner, shouldn't that model be demonstrating an overhead press?
I agree that the model uses a slight knee bend to push the bar up with each push but I don’t think that is a push press. The push press is a much more explosive move that is meant to get very heavy weight up as fast as possible, great for improving power. The model has a much more controlled motion and I don’t think there is any issue with his form.
I used the push press to increase the OHP. More weight is used with the push press and the negative strengthens you for the OHP.
Push Press + Strict Press Negative is best
I luv OHP. I don't even flat bench, I only incline bench at 40 degrees and OHP and my chest and shoulders are solid AF.
👍
Men you guys are everywhere, and your answers are always incredible.

The push press is one of the first exercises we learned in Football
How about shoulder press?
What about it
That would be the same as strict overhead press
The delt press would be a better option
