I hope you enjoyed this video, and I hope you'll try some of the techniques. If you enjoyed the video, I would appreciate it SO MUCH if you shared the video, or told your friends about it. Part 2 is out NOW!! Watch it at ua-cam.com/video/JRO4-hqzzuc/v-deo.html
rouxer's guide : 1. count the number of moves in your first block 2. first block bld / first block + DR edge bld 3. unlimited inspection : plan fb and DR edge 4. 13 seconds inspection : plan fb and DR edge 5. untimed solves : experiment with sb 6. turn slowly lookahead 7. LSE 8. practice individual steps 9. CMLL time attack (lol) 10. simulate a comp
Wow, you really did a really good job making this video. Honestly, i am calling it, this is gonna get a lot of views just because how good the tutorial is and how well though out this video is. I am gonna try out all of these and see if i can improve. I always get bored of practicing 3x3 with slow, untimed and unlimited inspection solves, but this video motivated me to practice 3x3 with all of the tips you mentioned in this video! Thanks!
I am a new cuber with PB at 60 seconds. I recently started CFOP and I couldn’t get myself to be faster. This video has helped a lot and I plan to follow these tips until I can get my time to 30 seconds
You're not weak dude! The spirit is strong in you. I love all cubers and puzzle solvers. People with discalcula are more prone to violence. I drill the algorithms I make mistakes in instead of punishing myself with exercise. I visualize the pattern on the cube while doing rep after rep until m so sick of it. Exercise in the morning or at a time convenient for you dude. Leg exercises are better for the heart so just walk a miles a day. But your competition simulation is really dope. Peace
How come I didn't see this video sooner, the advice mentioned is the best description on what to practice. I hear suggestions from other cubers to practice, practice, practice but there isn't a strategy on what to practice. I practice at least an hour a day and I never see any improvement; however, following your guide of strategies on practicing, I am more focused on what I should practice in my 3x3 solves. Thank you very much for making this video.
Thanks, finally a tips video that actually shows how to improve rather than just suggesting what to improve on. A video like that is the cubing equivalent of telling someone new to working out what they should train rather than telling what exercises to do. I would've never thought of some of these things without this video such as getting my cross in so few moves that i can do it blindfolded and possibly the first pair.
im pretty slow in comparison to most of the viewers of this vid (I average mid 40s) but im trying to improve my cross by starting with it facing down and ignoring the centre pieces, your first tip is rly helping me plan out my cross better, +1 sub :)
Brody, i usually saw the videos of J Perm but if i was unable to understand some of his videos' tricks i watched you and see better results than before your explanations are very good and examples solves are also very good. Keep up the good work! And do post a video challenging with J Perm too because I can tell you both will rock on UA-cam. Well Done.
Thank you so much for these tips! They helped me a lot. But after some sovles I see that I don't use these tips anymore and I return to the old bad habits.
Try to do the cross blondfolded If you want to be more advanced do the first F2L pair BLD as well If you wanna be Feliks, plan the whole solve in your inspection and do it bld as well
If you're using roux, you can still use this video. Multiphase can be used with any method and instead of the cross, just use the first two techniques for first block and so on. 'Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.'
Some really great advice here. A few of these things I was starting to come to the conclusion of myself after seeing how much of an impact they make (some of your cross suggestions, blindfolded cross sounds great), but many were things I'd never even think about but actually make a lot of sense. Good stuff here. :)
Thanks brody Its tooo helpfull this cmnt i gave after 2 weeks i watched this video before i avereged 35 sec now i got.sub 20 its toooo helpful keep it up

BrodytheCuber thank you I've seen several videos like this but you're the only one that gave good advice. :)
I'm looking forward to part two ;)
make part 2
It's in the works
:)
rouxer's guide :
1. count the number of moves in your first block
2. first block bld / first block + DR edge bld
3. unlimited inspection : plan fb and DR edge
4. 13 seconds inspection : plan fb and DR edge
5. untimed solves : experiment with sb
6. turn slowly lookahead
7. LSE
8. practice individual steps
9. CMLL time attack (lol)
10. simulate a comp
then pll time attack is also stupid
I can't wait to try out these techniques! They all seem like awesome ways to practice other than solve after solve. Thanks Brody ;)

I might try that, thanks!
Some excellent ideas in here that I will definitely try to implement.

Multiphase can be used with any method and instead of the cross, just use the first two techniques for first block and so on.
'Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.'
