If you go to every page of their "Yojanas" launched by Prime Ministers, the aim of each yojana is groundbreaking and the advisory committee did a great job in projecting their ideas but the ground reality is that Indian doesn't have money like China, US to rapidly manifold its production and employment generation rate as they talk about on their website.
The best idea is to support underdeveloped countries(as we currently are doing ) who are not rich and make business with them as China did with India in the past.
Its now or never. All the ASEAN countries have already started inclining towards china and its time that our government stop acting like a big brother and instead use it's soft power i.e., the diplomatic power to make things better. The statements given by swami about invading Maldives or by Bipin Rawat about Bhutan or Nepal only shows our arrogance and as you can see now, Nepal refused to participate in the military exercise organised by India for BIMSTEC member countries so does Thailand and also the big hydropower projects in bhutan are gonna be a problem for India in the near future.
Indian government has to stop behaving so arrogantly and should respect the sovereignty of these small countries. It's time that our prime minister do some action instead of just talking.
@Vibhanshu Singh their socialist power helped them to take tough measures and make tough policies like one child or two child. Though it is not possible in case of India because the women in our country already suffer so much due to the pressure on them to give birth to a boy and such one or two child policies will only make the situation worse for them but there's a lot that our governments can do and i beleive the first thing should be to stop giving loan waivers to the farmers and the corporates because that'll save a huge amount of money but the sad part is that be it BJP or the congress.. they all do vote bank politics.

Any country and any government doesn't do business and hence cannot create money and development without its country company becoming big and to create money n job for their own people. Government job is to make good regulations so that money n job is properly utilize for the citizens... Our country its normal politics to degrade the name of big company and say lies about... Latest example is rafeal deal... Planes like rafeal are important for our airforce...indians should see why n how china has gone way ahead in economy or in defence capabilities etc... Please count hoe many chinese company are their...almost in all sector... This has helped greatly the Chinese people to have independent job in their country... No indian company is that big to compete with Chinese in same sector except few like IT, motor etc...our political party currupt the mind of people and so everyone just keep blaming each others and finally everything trails.

@Vasu of course, no denial of that. Thats the policy shaped by those serving the country, think tanks, diplomats, bureaucracy.
My point is, to be an IAS you need such and such degree, for anything you need qualification where you do decision making. But a minister (the one who really shapes or give assent to the decisions) could be foolish, unaware, uneducated.
Anyway, as long as we worship money/power more than ethics, it will continue.

I liked the fact that he said about the Import substitute policy. I am not an expert but I believe if it is implemented in a good way it can help to boost the Indian economy.
Indeed. But that model was already presented by Nehru in the First and second five year plan. And which was ultimately replaced by export promotion policy in 1991 LPG Reforms.
