I dig blues and old school jazz. I came here looking for blues swing. I was torn between the music and the dancing, both so hypnotic. Then I start to recognize that trumpet players sound, and to my surprise, it's freakin' Ben Pulcer!!! That man is an awesome musician and band leader, has a knack for blending artists together for a great sound. You can find many videos and albums with him and other great artists. I stumbled upon Ben with Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns years back.
As a lindy hopper I was told not to dance bluesy. So, I started to dance tango. Now, the tide had turned and again: I can be free on the dancefloor. No telling how joyful I am.
Am I the only one sad to see slow jam Lindy being done in a blues comp? This comp in 2010 blew my mind. This is awesome dancing, don't get me wrong, but it is Lindy, not blues. Or is this the New Blues?
